Advantages: Plays Music, Video Photos and Games

Disadvantages: Lacks good speaker quality at loud volumes, not many good games

The PSP 3000 is the third version of the excellent Sony console and although it does not add any features to the previous verions, it is much lighter and thinner in comparison to its brothers. As a result, it is much more portable and i find canbe more easily used as a portable mp3/video player. The device itself is excellent with is capabilities to play video, music photos not to mention some excellent games including Loco Roco and WipEout which can picked up cheaply today. The Mp3 player contains an excellent visualiser to keep you entertained for a short while and although the sound quality may not match an iPod, the screen is larger than classic iPods and the quality is excellent in most light conditions excet on a sunny day. The games are quickly improving and despite their costly price, they are often worth it giving me an enjoyable train journey to and from work every day. There is also a feature to connect to the internet. The webbrower also supports some flash content wwhich is suffcientfor mobile sites like the bbc.

Summary: An excellent all round machine with countless features which is cheaper than a DSi
