DS, PSP, DS, PSP... (Sony PSP)

We have used Sony Playstations quite a bit over the years and have owned various versions. we have always been very happy and so we were more than happy to give the PSP a go. We were torn between the PSP and the Nintendo DS Lite. I have to say that in my opinion the DS Lite wins. I like the dual screen aspect of it and I find it much easier to control and navigate. I also like the touch screen on the DS Lite.

However, the PSP is a decent handheld console. There are lots of a really great games for it and if you take your gaming seriously, you will love the choice that is available. Also, the graphics are great on this console. Probably slightly better than the DS Lite though I am only into gaming occasionally for fun so graphics are not the most important thing for me.

One major positive about the PSP is the fact you can use it to watch movies and listen to music. This really is a great additional extra as it means that if you are going on holiday, you can take something to watch, listen to and something to play without taking up too much packing space. It also means that you can carry it around with you on a daily basis and have all manor of entertainment available at your fingertips.

Overall I prefer the DS Lite but that's because I am a kid at heart and like the simplicity of the gaming. I think a seasoned pro would probably prefer the PSP. Warning though, it is a lot more expensive than the DS Lite.

Summary: It is a great games console but I love my DS Lite
