Philips VR840:
... Introduction Although the VCR player is becoming a thing of the past, with the arrival of the DVD player, it's not dead and buried yet. There is still a high demand for films and documentaries on the VHS format. Some people feel that their video player is of a good enough quality so they don't wish to upgrade to a DVD player. Our family, won this VCR in a raffle. We bought ten tickets at fifty pence... Read the full review: Philips VCR by thespurs |

There is still a high demand for films and documentaries on the VHS format. Some people feel that their video player is of a good enough quality so they don't wish to upgrade to a DVD player. Our family, won this VCR in a raffle. We bought ten tickets at fifty pence a piece and we won two prizes! You may be thinking to yourself, a video player so what. Well as a matter of fact, we were chuffed with this and couldn't wait to get it home. We do have a Philips DVD player, as some of you will know, and any of our new mov... Sony SLV-SE 720 ... Dear, Where to start with this utter Heap of S*$T. Well when i bought it, for ?200 Euro in Ireland, It was only one down from top of then range in September last Year(2003). I Payed the cash and brought it home thinking Sony would be the best quality in everything. Build quality, Picture, Sound and just in general. BUT NO IT WASNT SO! When i took it out of the box all of the usual stuff was in there, though no extras, so i thought they a bit stingy but then it didnt exactly say buy now and get ?? Free did it so that was ok. First impressions where generally ver good, build and button-press quality was very good, 2or 3 times better quality than my old thing. So... Read the full review: Sony SLV - SE 720G/I by ausrov1 |

LGE LV 3766 ... I bought this VCR just after the wide screen TV (see older review) and the DVD player they are all made by LG a make which I have come to love. The VCR cost £50 not much for a VCR but a good quality buy, I didn?t spend so much on the VCR because I mostly have DVDs and had bought the wide screen TV. But this Video recorder has many mod cons associated with great visual and audio play; it has auto play when u put the video in u need not press the play button. And auto tracking for that nightmare of older videos, with the snow on the top and the bottom of the TV screen, this copes easily with that and minimizes the effects when total removal is not possible. There is cm s... Read the full review: YO LG VIDEO by dingoo |
