I bought this VCR just after the wide screen TV (see older review) and the DVD player they are all made by LG a make which I have come to love. The VCR cost £50 not much for a VCR but a good quality buy, I didn?t spend so much on the VCR because I mostly have DVDs and had bought the wide screen TV.
But this Video recorder has many mod cons associated with great visual and audio play; it has auto play when u put the video in u need not press the play button. And auto tracking for that nightmare of older videos, with the snow on the top and the bottom of the TV screen, this copes easily with that and minimizes the effects when total removal is not possible. There is cm skip and a clock dimmer why a clock dimmer is essential I don?t know but it works and maybe saves on power which I?m not sure. The video also has an on screen display of channel and time, also with menu options when required for adjustments which are made push button easy.
A channel auto search for setting up with the DVD and TV is amazing it makes life so easy it does the work for you when setting up the channels. There is Video doctor 16:9 conversion you can as on most DVD players adjust this to suit wide screen films or your TV screen size which gives it durability for use with many TV types. Optimum picture response is a picture sharpening tool which it does automatically to make the best picture it can without any manual input by users.
You can time record also but there is an option to just fit record a quick button press for 30 mins to I believe a full day on either of the two speeds of recording.
The Unit dimension: (W) 360, (H) 94, (D) 270mm quite small but not as nifty as a DVD player.
For a dirt cheap video I bought through necessity really I can?t complain it is excellent value for money which gives me the best viewing quality of videos I have seen in ages.
With a collection of videos I haven?t got DVD yet it is great and a must for all video owners to have vid
eo recorder and one of this quality may well be the last video recorder I buy as vhs may well sees to exist soon. I am full of praise for LG as a whole because I have bought 3 great products to a high standard and the video is by no means less specked up then its modern stable mates. So in all I have no problems personally with this video and would urge others if they need one to purchase this LG LV3766 video as it is well worth the price.
