Okay, but not great by modern standards (Pace TDT 460 Twin Digital TV Recorder)
Member Name: laser1234
Advantages: Twin tuner, playback controls Disadvantages: Recordings often fail, slow EPG I've had this product for some time now, and although it doesn't have the featureset of some modern Freeview PVRs, like series link for example, it has kept up quite well considering its age. As a Freeview tuner it works well, and was particularly good in handling weak signals. However, low signals are its downfall when it comes to recording - as they often fail, which is very annoying. The twin tuner is a useful feature, allowing you to watch and record at the same time, or using the RF loopthrough, pump the second Freeview tuner to other TVs in the house, useful if you don't have digital on every TV. Playback is easy with a range of fastforward controls and a bookmark feature to pick up where you left off. Live pause also seems to work very well, but obviously, more modern boxes allow live rewind. The EPG is clear and easy to use, but is extremely slow at populating, which makes setting recordings and seeing what's coming up of an evening pretty slow going. Summary: A good box in its day, but now clearly shown up by more modern models.
