If you live in a hermetically sealed environment then this is the video recorder for you! Particularly suitable for playing newly opened videos on!

We have had two of these video recorders and would not recommend it. It has some good features, such as jet rewind and smart recording based on what you have recorded in the past. However the first one broke down relatively soon and we returned it for a refund. Thinking this was just unluckly and as we were happy with its features we bought another one the same. This proved to be a mistake as this one too broke down. We had bought it online so the postage to return it made it not worthwhile. We contacted Panasonic as it was the second one we had had thinking they might help and offer to refund or replace as a goodwill gesture but they were no help whatsoever and refused to do anything. We have now discovered for ourselves that the problem with it is that you can't play old videos with any dirt on them as the machine will then no longer play any videos. This can be solved by playing a clean video through it for several hours. We have had to get another machine for running old videos though to clean them before we can play them in this machine. Overall it seems just far too sensitive to dirt on non new videos.
