It is a 4-head Nicam stereo model, and comes with two SCART leads, Videoplus, PDC, Standard play/Long play and can play back NTSC video cassettes (from the USA), it also has index search. The one glaring omission it has from its feature list is a tape remaining indicator, which would be very useful. The remote has all the standard functions, is a nice size and will operate Toshiba TV’s as well. All timer settings are carried out via an on-screen mneu and works well. The picture quality is average to good. It can be quite grainy when using long-play, but is not too bad when using standard play or watching pre-recorded tapes. The sound quality is pretty good especially if put through a stereo. The UHF output can also be set right through the 21-69 channel range via the remote, so it is very easy to find a blank channel well away from the TV channels, satellite decoder and DVD player/second video.
