Toshiba V 711 ... THE HELL DOES IT DO? I DON'T KNOW. I HAVE NEVER USED IT ACTUALLY. TRUTH BE TOLD I HAVE NEVER TOUCHED THIS THING OR READ OTHER OPINIONS ON IT. BUT I DO KNOW HOW TO USE IT AND THUS CAN REVIEW IT. MY OPINION IS THAT IT SUCKS. HONESTLY, THIS THING SUCKS. I'VE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING SUCK MORE THAN THIS SUCKS. Toshiba V 430 ... Toshiba video cost me around £140 in the year 2000. The updated model would be a little less now because the cost of VCR's is decreasing all the time. Features are: 4 head (which is supposedly for better pictures and slow motion playback), 6 event timer, on screen programming, 2 scart sockets, video plus, pdc and mono sound. I bought a Toshiba as I was led to believe they were rather good and for a while it worked fine. I now have a couple of problems with it, the picture is very fuzzy, I suspect the heads need a good clean although I have used several head cleaning tapes which have made no difference so maybe there is a deeper fault there? Toshiba V 711 ... those of you who have read the article then this is the latest addition - for those who haven't read the article READ IT!! (then it will all make sense). I have just received another email from Toshiba (couldn't some other companies learn from their efficiency). The NexTViewLink is not applicable to the TV and VCR as they come with automatic tuning features which lets them sink-in to each other. In other words when you switch over to view the channel you have set to see your vcr staions on then you should get the tv channels NOT a blue screen like I did!
