Eset Smart Security ... have been using ESET s products for a couple of years now, since I discovered that Norton almost as bad for my PC as the viri it was trying to keep away. I was instantly amazed to see how lightweight, efficient and quick ESET s AV was, and so I have recently upgraded to Smart Security. First off, Smart Security works 100% with the new Windows 7 operating system, which is good news considering it is set to be the most widely used OS to date. It is still lightweight, still easy to use, and includes an excellent firewall and pro-active defense system which makes you feel extremely secure when surfing the web, downloading files, or even opening emails. Malwarebytes Antimalware ... far as computers go- I know what I know- if you start getting technical with me- my eyes glaze over and my brain goes fuzzy. So what I am about to tell you does not need IT expertise. When I switched the computer on and had pop ups jumping up all over the place telling me I had a visiting Trojan- I did not have a clue what to do. I had installed antivirus software, I had a firewall and yet this trojan had invaded my system- and as fast as I got rid of a pop up another one appeared. I was sure I was going to have to pack up my pc and take it to the experts. But, as I hadn t had breakfast or showered- I chose not to dash out straight away but decided instead to have a ... AVG Internet Security 8.0 ... have had AVG now for about 3 years, and i have to admit, i am very disappointed by this product, and am currently searching for a better alternative as i speak. At first, it seemed very good, it is very simple to install and it seemed to pick up some viruses on my computer. However after a while of using it, i soon realised that it was not as good as it appeared. It stopped detecting problems in my computer, and came up with silly warnings such as "do you want to delete this potentially harmful programme, deleting it may cause problems with your computer".
