Anti-Virus is my personal choice for virus protection and removal - it is not too expensive, reliable, has many features and options and you can be sure it will prevent and remove those pesky and annoying viruses. PRICE - A single license for Kaspersky Anti-Virus is £29.99 which seems a little high, but compared to competitors is very reasonable. You can also pay more for extra features, and a three license edition for those with multiple PCs is only £10 more. PROTECTION - One feature I like about Kaspersky is that it scans all files, emails, web pages etc. before they are loaded or run; this means it is very easy to protect and prevent against viruses. Symantec Norton 360 2.0 ... have had this program for a few months now and overall it is probably the best antivirus / firewall program I have used bar a few small niggles which can be easily ironed out by an experienced user. At the start I got a 30 day free trial which can be obtained from symantec which is a must before paying for the product. Since then I liked the product even though I had to reinstall once due to the program failing after installing an add on which is also free from the symantec site. I wouldn t recommend this product for people who do not wish to tinker with firewall setting as it may ask for ports which are hard to understand. The anti virus software itself is probably the... Sandboxie ... re-installing or just installing a Windows PC there are several applications that I just install by default. These have remained constant for years and include AVG, daemon tools, msn messenger, skype and more recently dropbox and crashplan (also reviewed). Anyway my latest app to add to this list is called sandboxie which has become one of the first apps to be installed following anti virus.
