In terms of performance the anti vrius scan is fast and thorough. This company achieves very good detection ratings when officially tested. The application warnings are not very intrusive and it is quite easy and straightforward to set up. The program uses a reasonably low amount of RAM and doesn t consume much CPU power, a bonus in today s power RAM hungry application environment. AVG Internet Security 8.0 ... is a very good virus protector for most home computers and for any computers that are not connected to the internet. it allows regular updates which can be done either daily or by a set schedule so that you are constantly protected from new virus s. it also give you an AVG toolbar for your google search engine which checks pages before you view them and warns you if it feels they are unsafe or are known to contain virus s. the main problem with this anti-virus software is that it slows down the computer dramatically during updates and scans. i would recomend only doing updates and scans when you are not using the computer otherwise it can take a long time to complete...
