Antiviruses are vital for computers. You can take certain steps to protecting your computer, but at the end of the day, nobodys perfect and you will let viruses in.

So what do you do? You go and get a antivirus. But if you have to pay for one, there normally 40£ a year for something like Norton. And then your computer starts crashing, and you realise that your £40 has done nothing. Oh dear. So you then look online, and find avast. "Well if £40 worth of antivirus can't protect my computer, what goods this gonna do?" So you leave it. But it then comes time to update your antivirus, and you do not want to pay for norton again. So you just download something like avast quickly, and suddenly, you see its finding viruses, and your computer is better. Because that is the thing with avast, its amazing. It protects my computer better than any other antivirus I have ever seen. At the moment, I can see its protecting my emails, msn, its sheilding my network, and a whole bunch of other providers to provide maximum security. If i download a program, I can automatically scan it with a click of a button.

Honestly, avast is amazing. Its the only antivirus I would reccommend, unless you are looking into spending £100's in one, or getting a yoggie gatekeeper pro. At this moment, I can check, and see it scanning 4 different things to maximize my security.

But just remember, just because you have a antivirus, does not meen you should be careless on the internet. Use a secure browser like firefox and keep it up to date, and also download addons for it that provide security, such as Web Of Trust (WOT). If you download something, check it is from the real website, and a trusted one at that. But your most important tool is your antivirus, and trust me, this is the best one.
