Like any other protection products. AVG Internet Security protects your computer from all types of threats such as viruses, worms, Trojans etc. Many of us have certainly heard about Kaspersky and that Kaspersky is the leader in the protection industry.

Here, I've compared some features of both programs to help decision.

Kaspersky has some bad features that make AVG better. Kaspersky's main negativity is that it interferes in every operation whether trustable or not (scanning Internet Explorer's activities for instance). AVG does not do that, maybe because it supports some kind of a list of known and trusted programs.

The latest 2009 release of Kaspersky Internet Security seems to suffer from many technical problems and bugs while AVG doesn't.

It's too hard to receive updates for AVG. I once spent 2 hours before begging to download latest updates. Kaspersky's updates are easier for download.

In general, both programs are so similar in features but in my opinion I would rather the purchase of AVG because it's affordable and provides almost the same service quality.
