AVG? not for me. (AVG Internet Security 8.0)

Advantages: Cheap and easy to install.

Disadvantages: Not reliable

I have had AVG now for about 3 years, and i have to admit, i am very disappointed by this product, and am currently searching for a better alternative as i speak. At first, it seemed very good, it is very simple to install and it seemed to pick up some viruses on my computer. However after a while of using it, i soon realised that it was not as good as it appeared. It stopped detecting problems in my computer, and came up with silly warnings such as "do you want to delete this potentially harmful programme, deleting it may cause problems with your computer". This made me extremely confused and the job of the anti-virus software should be to sort out problems like that out by itself, not ask me, surely? AVG did not seem to update much, meaning that new viruses would not be recognised on the sotware, making me prone to catch viruses on my computer, not good. Overall i would say that this software is cheap, however not reliable. There is better freeware available on the internet if you just search around for it.
