Advantages: Easy to install, User friendly and up to date

Disadvantages: Conflicts with other software

Personally, I was excited to see that there was some cheap and reliable software available for internet security. I had purchased the downloadable version, as being a boring hermit makes it difficult for me to purchase things from the outside world. It was simple to download, with easy to follow steps and it didn't take too long, either. It has a fair amount of features, the interface is easy to follow and the installation process is a breeze. All in all, the first steps are simple. As for the software itself, I was disappointed with the performance in particular areas such as cleaning, scanning and protecting the system. After uninstalling the software and installing another internet security package, there were a number of problems shown by the new software that AVG had not picked up. I found that AVG also conflicted with some of my other software. The manual and automatic updates however, were very impressive and made it easy to keep the database up to date. I would recommend this software to people who do not use the internet very often, and also persons who are not very computer literate.
