Advantages: The Active Virus Blocker allows you to control what happen's to the infected files

Disadvantages: Advertisement pop-up after an update

A free anti-virus program that IMO works better than most of those expensive and annoying anti-virus products... Yes Please!

This lovely piece of software is at the front-line of my computers defenses. (it pairs up with SUPERantispyware, spybot S&D and PeerGuardian2) I found it better than most and i was previously running AVG Free.

It uses an active virus catcher, which if your not familiar with, is a lovely thing. If a threat is detected, it will be immediately halted in its process of destroying your computer, and then program throws a pop-up box at you asking what you should do with this file. You can simply Ignore it if it's not a threat, deny the file access, delete it, quarantine it, whatever you need to do.

I would probably recommend this Free software for the more "advanced" computer user, as im sure some casual PC user's may not understand what they are reading, but with a click of a link provided with the virus information on the pop-up, you have all the information on the virus. What it does, how it spreads, if it's dangerous etc..

Countless times this free little program has saved my PC from being invaded, it's a solid anti-virus which updates itself automatically and runs quietly in the background.

The only downside is the advertisement...
After every update it throws a large box at you (which you can discard with the click of a button, or a hit of the enter key) about it's premium services.
Allegedly this can be turned off, but i haven't looked as it's not that bothersome.
