Advantages: Better windows performance compared with Norton

Disadvantages: Almost always not included

After falling out with Norton Anti-virus I made the switch to Bull Guard. My main issue with Norton is how much it slows down your computer, seemingly taking up excess amounts of computer processing power. I was recommended to try Bull Guard by my local PC shop and have been most impressed.

First off the compatibility with Windows seems to be fair better than that of Norton which is its main rival. Bull guard shows displays no ill effects towards the operating of Windows when running which cannot be said for Norton. This helps to make the experience of using windows much more enjoyable.

The Bull Guard software provides both anti-virus and a firewall for your computer. Both of these are accessed and operated through a single programme, with tabs making it easy to change between the two. Hear all the settings from how often to update and when to run a virus scan are accessed with the software proving intuitive and easy to use. The is the full array of options and customisation which can allow for both the expert and novice to keep their computer well protected.

Looking at the effectiveness of Bull guard I have been running it on a number of computers for 3 years now and have found it very effective. I have never had a computer disabled in anyway by a virus and I am someone who downloads. If any virus's are found on your computer Bull Guard takes 3 attempts to fix this. If after the third attempt the problem is still not fixed then you can e-mail the Bull Guard team the details how will e-mail you back a solution to the fix. I have found this to be very effective with quick response times and correct advice.

There are also other features provided with the Bull Guard subscription with and an online storage area to back up any important files. There is also a regular news letter advising on the latest security risks and the best ways to avoid these.

Bull Guard anti-virus is a brilliant programme for those looking to keep their windows based PC safe from attack. Its better than the Norton Equivalent due to better compatibility with windows systems. The problem with this is that most new PCs come pre-loaded with Norton and trying to remove all of its components is well beyond the average PC user.
