Advantages: Regular Updates, reasonable price

Disadvantages: Slows Machine Down, not required features, can cause problems

Mcafee have been out and about now for years, the package it's self is a very good one compared to most of the market. However although it does it's job, its very expensive compared to the mass of other packages available on the market and slows your machine down that much that you have to consider ditching it. I think that the virus scan is one of the best for definition updates as some dont bother updating quite as often as mcafee, they are also working on constantly improving their scanning. The spyware scan I wouldnt really recommend installing though as there is others out there that are not quite so memory intensive and are free e.g adware se. The firewall software can be a pain as it can cause so many problems if set incorrectly, to which if you have a hub you really dont need as its built in as standard.
