I had the Panda basic virus protection, supplied by my computer company with new hard drive. After renewing the subscription 18 months later and dowloading a newer version, a few odd things started to happen on my computer. After many phone calls to the computer comapny and then not getting any desktop icons, I took it to be looked at.

It took them 3 days to figure out that the antivirus software was corrupting the computer. It worked fine when it was removed. I contacted Panda who were reluctant to admit that there had been some slight problems on earlier versions (3 weeks old!). Another version of Panda was downloaded...same thing happened. The computer company could not believe this was happening. After much more hassle, decided to abandon Panda antivirus and got alternative product. All has worked fine.

As I am not a techie, I was relieved that the computer company were having the same problems. I never thought the symptoms with my computer could be related to antivirus software supplied on their CD. Got a refund for the cost of the software from Panda and the computer companies costs paid...only after a letter to Panda. No apology needless to say. Avoid
