Safe interest usage practices are a must for any user, but there are times when even the safest of users can find themselves at the mercy of rogue scripts and other malicious code being installed on their computers without consent. The need for "Anti Spyware" applications have greatly risen over recent years and it can become difficult to select "the best" program to suit one's needs. No package is perfect but SUPERAntiSpyware comes very close to perfection.

There has been a recent outbreak of "Vundo" malware which has hindered much of many user's practical internet usages. It is most notoriously known for infecting Photobucket users as it has been distributed through third party banner ads. In response to this, few programmers were able to create a fix for implementing into their programs but SUPERAntiSpyware was one of the first to find a solution for this computing pandemic. Vundo did not affect me but it did prompt me to immediately change my software of choice due to my former package not being quickly able to deal with something as serious as Vundo. It goes without saying that one hour is a considerable length to be offline for me, much like a cat perceives one calendar month to be two years in "cat time", and I require something that is able to effectively deal with an outbreak and quickly should I fall to its grasp. SUPERAntiSpyware seems to fit the bill nicely for that intended purpose due to its quick response time and frequent updates during an outbreak.

SUPERAntiSpyware hosts a wide variety of code that it is able to effectively deal with. It is common for anti spyware applications to deal with typical "spyware" in the true definition, but this program is equipped to deal with more serious threats such as trojan horse viruses and dialer scripts. It features very simple user operation with clearly designated buttons to execute certain functions, for example beginning a scan or accessing the update server. It should be noted that the free edition of this program does not feature real time protection and requires the user to load and scan "on demand". This does leave some area for infection but the program is simple and quick to use; no user should find themselves struggling to learn their way around at the last moment.

As mentioned before, SUPERAntiSpyware is frequently updated and features a known quick response to the most serious of malware outbreaks. The update server has always been online whenever I have requested the latest fixes and I have never had an issue connecting or downloading these fixes. The user is also able to quickly see what malware SUPERAntiSpyware is equipped to deal with after each update. A concise list is displayed with the full malware name and how many infection traces the program would be able to find.

Reliability is another high point of this program as I have been able to successfully remove numerous malware using it. I have been lucky not to be a victim to a critical infection, such as the aforementioned Vundo, but what has been presented to me through the program has always been successfully removed.

Installation is through a typical graphical interface common to most other programs. The program itself is not something which I regard as being resource intensive but may require a more recent computer to run smoothly. Users report that the most recent versions do not work in operating systems prior to Windows 98 SE. It is also compatible with most antivirus suites and does not interfere with any real time resident protection. I have tested it as compatible with Avira AntiVir PE Classic.

I have been very satisfied with the performance and protection offered by SUPERAntiSpyware thus far. It is the first program I use when I suspect any spyware has entered my system and it almost always is the only program.
