A revolution on Symantec's future! (Symantec Norton 360 2.0)

Advantages: All Encompassing, 3 Licences, Great for PC Newbies and even Experts

Disadvantages: Setup a bit slow

Norton 360 2.0 aims to be an all in one solution for your PCs security needs. It includes antivirus, anti-spyware and anti-phishing and firewall software to name a few.

The installation took a while to complete but once install it's surprisingly quick to respond and didn't hassle me in the way Vista UAC does. Symantec have learnt their lesson after creating some horrendously slow software in the past.

The main screen is well though out categorises such as PC Security and Identity Protection, it's clear Symantec aim to encompass the demands of both beginners and experts with this software.

The PC Security contains the brunt of the functions including AV software which has in fact improved significantly - lesson #2 learnt.

Experts will most likely switch off some of the features as there are better programs out there (firewall for one).

Overall, I can't see myself purchasing an upgrade (current licence came with the PC) but I would genuinely have Symantec Norton 360 on the horizon as one to watch.

The great value in the software is the purchase of it allows you to install the software on upto 3 PCs which should cover most folk.
