Symantec Norton 360 2.0 ... for many years now, and to be honest, it does exactly what it says on the box. We have used it over the past few years and not once have we recieved a virus, many have been successfully detected and destroyed by the program however. The addition of 3 Pc s per software means that you can easily protect all of the Pc s and Laptops in your home and not worry about any virus s getting through. Symantec also have a great customer support service should problems occur, but they rarely do. the only time we had to contact Symantec was to renew our subscription and that was dealt with in a matter of minutes by their helpful and friendly staff. Symantec Norton 360 2.0 ... havn t used Norton for a long time since the days of Windows 98. It was a great piece of software, good at what it did and took little resources. It all however, has now changed. It is still good at detecting malicious programs and is now packaged with its own firewall and spyware protection. The resources problem however is a big issue. I had recently reinstalled Windows XP on my computer and decided to give Norton 360 a go, so I proceeded to download the trial. The installation was stupid and seemed to take forever to install, it didn t get much better after the restart. Symantec Norton 360 2.0 ... spyware and virus alike. It also offers protection against data loss, identity loss and phishing, thus covering all the nasty threats that you could come across. It can also "tune up" your pc for you and defrag it at the same time.For some unknown reason you have to download anti spam protection and parental controls as seperate add ons which is a bit of a bind. Older versions of Symantecs scanners were complete system hogs and the company has taken this on board to make the 360 use a lighter footprint that will delay the scans until the computer is not so busy, which may not be such a good thing because if your working on some intensive tasks then the sc...
