      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I'm happy to take them and to think that I am protecting my teeth and bones anyway!

When it comes to vitamins and mineral supplements I have no problems in taking them and regulary try things to help me out health wise. I got these because my dentist advised me to try them as I am losing the enamel off my teeth and they really are as not as strong as they should be because I have an eating disorder and have done for a few years now.

      The Packaging:

The packaging of these is very simple indeed. You get a mainly white plastic tub with a white and blue coloured label around the middle of it and then a push and twist style blue plastic cap/lid to the top of it. On the front of the label I am told that they are Asda Calcium & Vitamin D 'May help maintain healthy bones and teeth' and to take 2 a day and that there are 120 tablets in my size tub. Other information on the back of the tub includes dosage advice being given, ingredients and contents of the tablets, lots of warnings are given and contact details for Asda are listed. Nice enough tub, informative enough and I do like the push and twist cap this has on it for safety reasons.

      The Tablets:

The dosage of these is simple. These are only suitable for children and adults over 12 years of age and you simply take two a day, with food. The tablets are rather big. White and thick and round in shape you really do need a good drink with these to aid swallowing and they have no taste to them and take one at a time! I have no problem taking these though and do take them daily.

      Do They Work Though?:

Honestly? No idea! The composition of these tablets is 5ug of Vitamin D and 800g Calcium. Do I feel better? Not really if I sit and think about it lol. These are to help maintain healthy teeth and bones by helping to make them stronger I can only say that I haven't had any broken bones in the last 3 months of taking them (not that I ever have lol) and that my teeth are the same as ever and again none have dropped out of my head (again I have all my teeth lol).

All I can say about these is if that if you know you need Vitamin D and Calcium they are simple enough to take and I have had no adverse effects by taking them at all. I am happy to continue taking them anyway as protection is as good as a cure!

These are only available in Asda priced at £2.00 a tub of 120 (and these are only available to purchase in, in this size as far as I am aware of).
