      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Great!

I suffer with very bad joint aches and pains. I have a diagnosed problem in the base of my spine but I also suffer with a very bad back which aches most of the time and a bad neck! So bad actually that after 6 months of being a complete gym bunny I actually had to stop due to feeling I was actually doing myself more harm than good and not being able to cope any longer!

I purchased these tablets in Boots and they cost me £9.75 for 30 tablets which isn't cheap and was of course a considered purchase. However after reading the blurp on the back of the box I decided to give them a whirl feeling I must do something to help my poor old aches and pains!

      The Packaging:

The box is square, white and navy blue in colour and on the front there is a picture of a person holding their back and then in navy, orange and white writing I'm told they are Vitabotics, Jointace, High Strength Support For Joints. Chondroitin Glucosamine 'Vitamins C, D3, E, B12, Trace Minerals & Ginger Extract and that they are Bupa approved and that they are a high strength formula '30 tablets'. Other information on the box tells me a bit about the product, directions for use and nutritional information is given and contact details for Vitabiotics (the manufacturer of the product) are given. Informative packaging this is and easy to open etc and inside there is a leaflet with much the same information as given on the box.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information Given On The Box:

Ideal for those with an active life, or sport, or in later life.
Jointace has been produced to high pharmaceutical standards of quality control. It does not contains any drugs, and can be taken alongside anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDS if desired.

      Glucosamine Sulphate:

A special ingredient to help keep joints in good shape. Glucosamine is naturally required by the body for the production of collagen to cushion the joints (cartilage) and synovial fluid which bathes and lubricates them. The glucosamine in Jointace is present the preferred potassium form, with minerals for improved absorption.

      Ginger Extract:

A spice commonly associated with joint help.

      Chrondroitin Sulphate:

Helps form the protein that maintain cartilage elasticity and works synergistically with glucosamine to help maintain join health. Jointace contains a high quality LMW (low molecular weight) form of chronroitin.

      Trace Minerals & Vitamins:

Including antioxidant vitamins C & E. Contains vitamin D to help maintain strong bones.

      Contains:
      No artificial colours
      No gluten
      No preservatives
      No lactose or yeast
Jointace is not tested on animals

      Directions For Use:

Two tablets per day with your main meal.
Swallow with a glass of water or a cold drink.

      The Tablets Themselves:

They come in a largely clear strip with orange foil backing and they pop out with ease and one at a time. The tablets are a dark green in colour and rather long though not too thick. It's essential you have a drink with these though because they're so large in my opinion they get stuck if you don't! However with a drink they slide down the throat easy enough and that is helped by the coating on the tablet. They don't taste of anything, they don't smell and that is it! Job done.

      Verdict:

These are excellent and have been so useful for me in the past few months. They take a good few days to start with, getting in your system but when they do they really are a big help.

They are not a quick fix solution to aches and pains and even though they do work, again, they do not simply solve everything. For me however they do relieve some symptoms and remember these are supplement not a pain killer of course.

For a 15 day supply at just under 10 quid your looking at about 20 pounds a month to spend out on these but in my opinion that is really worth it as they do contain high doses of essential vitamins and minerals, it's tried and tested and recommended by Bupa...this is not a cheap option but your getting a quality controlled product.

I find it really does help my bones ache less and as soon as I don't take them and they leave my system I really noticed that I've stopped! My pains are less, my bones more supple and all in all I think if you have any aches and pains these are great to take in conjunction with your usual medication! Worth a punt if your suffering and for me, I've found these to be the best supplement out there for my bad joints and believe me I've tried and tested a few over the years lol.

Available in all good chemists etc and available in many different sizes.
