I started buying these over a year ago in little tubs, i got them because i was getting a cold literally every month and it must have been due to my hectic, eat on the go, no sleep stressful lifestyle.
Clearly i was missing something so i thought i'd give these a go. My colds stopped and now they are very few and far between, but despite the claims that you will feel better for taking them, i don't "feel" anything, i'm just healthier. That's a good thing, and i wont knock it.
These will top up any missing vitamins that your body needs and if you're stressed out, hectic and have a bad diet, getting the extra vitamins to fill the gaps not only helps you in the short term by stopping frequent colds and feeling run down, but they also provide long term benefits which can lower risks of cancer and diseases, so i'm told.
I don't feel healthier or any more full of energy than before i took them, i don't feel like my body is better with them but equally i'm not run down with colds and feeling rough. I still feel lethargic from time to time and yes, i don't get much sleep which no tablet can solve, but these actually provide long term benefits so even if you don't get colds, and even if you don't feel run down, take them at least for the health benefits.
These have a mild sour and dry taste to them, theres nothing really to compare them to other than sand, maybe some pebbles, that is if you've ever tasted pebbles... They don't have an overpowering smell or taste which means taking them is not a chore or a disgusting chore at that.
The tablets are quite large, imagine two flu capsules put together, but in a sort of spherical shape. They also look like those triple decker all sorts, with three shades of the amazing colour, brown. (I hate brown)
The tablets come in tubs of varying sizes but the bigger bulk buy ones can be found on the web, and as is the way with most products, the more you buy the more you save. The tubs have protective seals on them so you know if they've been opened, and a tightly locking screw on lid.
Overall these are good, i don't feel them working as in, i don't feel healthy and energetic but they do keep your immune system up when you're run down, and also provide some fantastic long term health benefits.
First! These pills are super cute and tasteless. I work out regularly and travel a great deal and it is hard to maintain digestive health while being so active and moving around so much.I can take these anywhere and never miss a day!
Multibionta Advanced Formula vitamins with probiotics are made by Seven Seas who are a well known and respected company. When looking for a good quality supplement to boost not just my own immune system, but that of my family members, I came across Multibionta in the shelves at Boots.
It was many years ago when we first tried these and in those days a pack of 30 tablets would set you back just over £3.50. These days a pack of 30 tablets will cost just a little more than that at around £3.99 and a pack of 60 around £8.49. It makes sense to buy them in packs of 30 tablets to me as there is a small saving of 50p and every little helps.
I have stocked up on 3 packs for winter again this year, as they are on offer in Boots right now. The offer gave me 1 pack out of 3 for free which means that each pack cost £2.66 or just under 9p per tablet. To me it makes sense to buy these when on offer and put them away till you need them.
We still buy them for use during winter time as I feel its wise to build up the healthy/ friendly bacteria in our bodies, as it may help to protect from winter vomiting bugs etc. Well I am saying it may help as I don't want to make grand claims, but I feel it has helped and thats what matters most to me.
I also think they are helpful during winter time as none of us are able to get out in the sunshine much and we aren't consuming the same amounts of fruit, salad and natural yoghurts that we do in summer time. So our bodies do need a little bit of a helping hand, which can be enhanced by the probiotics that are in Multibionta. It is always best to stick to a balanced diet of course, which includes plenty of fruit and vege, but we all know that teenagers can be fickle at times and so these could be seen as a good addition to a healthy teenagers diet.
I am very pleased to see that the product has not been marked up due to its commanding presence as a well respected brand, just to take advantage of its status in the health supplements market. This means that Multibionta are still an affordable option for many people including the elderly who can really benefit from taking them in colder weather.
I have always thought they are great for growing teens. As they never seem to want to eat the right food and stuff in junk food like its going out of style. They are also in contact with crowds of other teens and are much more prone to catching every bug in their paths. So Multibionta with its mix of vitamins and probiotics can be a real help to them.
The tablets are easy to take with no awful taste or strong colouring, they are coated too so they slip down easily with a sip of water. You only need to take one tablet per day and I find its best to take them around the same time each day.
They are not recommended for pregnant women or for anyone planning a family anytime soon. This is due to the inclusion of vitamin A which can prove harmful to your baby during pregnancy.
This is how Seven Seas describe the probiotics in the product, I included it as I feel they say what they are better than I can.
"Probiotic Nutrients are natural friendly bacteria, which exist inside the body and help to maintain a healthy digestive system. Working in harmony with the body, Multibionta also supports the immune system to help you cope with today's hectic lifestyles."
I would say that we have all managed to pick up less colds and bugs over winter when taking these tablets and will continue to take them for as long as we feel they are offering us something that other products don't.
I am giving them a full 5 star rating as I feel they work for us and thats what matters. Nothing can replace a healthy diet but some things can be an enhancement to one. So I will continue to top up the friendly bacteria in my body with Multibionta and my 5 a day.

A probiotic multi vitamin which as it claims is "for todays hectic lifestyles." Most people take a vitamin however how do you know which one to take, do you take individual supplements and end up rattling around or just take one? I opted for just one. In the winter when immune levels are down and also when traveling and your diet may not be as varied as what it should be these tablets are a great supplement to take. You can get them in quantities of 30 or 60 and they vary in price. They have 100% RDA of most recommended vitamins and also contain a probiotic which helps with the digestive system. When stressed vitamins and minerals are not absorbed fully into the system and therefore a probiotic helps which is where this product comes in. I mainly use it throughout the winter but also when traveling. The small tubs are easy to fit into a bag and I find that they help with not eating my usual varied meals and also as the chance of getting a tummy bug is slightly higher when traveling these can help to alleviate that and also contribute to better digestive health. The tablets are small and basically the size of a usual capsule so are not hard to swallow and they must be taken with a cold drink preferably water as a hot drink would reduce the effect of the probiotic. Overall a good supplement and given 5 stars.
A healthy lifestyle is a must if you want to look and feel your best. Certainly I try to eat as well as I can (most of the time!) and ensure I get the nutrients I need in the food I eat. I also try and exercise, but sometimes, just like with most things, nature needs a helping hand.
So, with that in mind I have started to take a daily multivitamin to supplement my lifestyle. I have gone for Seven Seas Multibionta 'Advanced Formula' Probiotic Multivitamin.
***Price and Availability***
I paid £6.99 for a tub of 60 Multibionta on special offer at Sainsbury's, the usual cost in any pharmacy or supermarket is around £7.50.
I have seen this brand in the big four supermarkets as well as Boots, Superdrug, Lloyds and selected independent pharmacies.
You can also purchase the same vitamins for age 50+ which are tailored to the needs of the older person.
The bottle comes in a cardboard box, and like the tub itself the dominant colour is blue. The tub is white with a blue lid and a label which states 'Seven Seas Multibionta Probiotic Multivitamin', 'Advanced Formula', 'Complete multivitamins with minerals and probiotics' and 'for today's hectic lifestyles'. Certainly this appeals to all ages and both sexes.
They're actually rather large, for vitamins, but they do have the probiotic element as well as the mineral element too. They are white on one side and a sand colour on the other with contrasting stripes in the middle. They are about 2cm long, and very smooth.
They are quite easy to take despite their slightly larger size due to how smooth they are and thankfully there is no unpleasant smell associated with them, nor any flavour to speak of whatsoever. Certainly, taking these vitamins is no chore and I find it easy fitting them into my daily routine - as you only need to take one a day I take mine with my morning cuppa.
Each capsule contains:
Vitamin A 100% of your RDA
Vitamin D 100% of your RDA
Vitamin E 100% of your RDA
Vitamin C 100% of your RDA
Thiamin 100% of your RDA
Riboflavin 100% of your RDA
Niacin 100% of your RDA
Vitamin B6 100% of your RDA

Vitamin B12 100% of your RDA
Biotin 100% of your RDA
Pantothenic acid 100% of your RDA
Calcium 11% of your RDA
Phosphorus 5% of your RDA
Iron 5 36% of your RDA
Magnesium 15% of your RDA
Zinc 33% of your RDA
Iodine 67% of your RDA
Magnanese 67% of your RDA
Chromium 67% of your RDA
Molybdenum 67% of your RDA
Selenium 67% of your RDA
Chloride 67% of your RDA
Potassium 67% of your RDA
Tribon Harmonis Probiotic Cultures 10 million 67% of your RDA
The capsules are free from
Gluten, Gelatin, Vegetarian Suitable, Lactose, Yeast, Soya, Tree Nut, Peanut, Artificial Colours, Artificial Sweetener, Artificial Flavours and Artificial Preservatives.
As you can see there is plenty here to ensure your day to day supplemental needs are taken care of. The probiotic element helps the gut, which in turn can aid those suffering from digestive complications like IBS.
Of course, you do still need to live an active and healthy lifestyle. No-one's perfect, though, and these are a welcome helping hand to people like myself.
***Feel any different?***
Yes I do - I do feel more awake, my digestive system is working well, my skin is clear and bright and my hair and nails are strong. I cannot attribute all of this to Multibionta but for me it's a vitamin I do feel tangible results from and that lasts me two months for only £7 - so I think it's a bargain too. My husband and my dad also take vitamins in the Multibionta range (Activate and 50+) and they also feel that they benefit.
You won't suddenly feel fabulous - of course like any supplement you need to allow a minimum of two weeks to really feel any difference, but I would say that if you need a bit of pep, or have a restricted diet (say if you are a vegetarian) and want to ensure you are getting your full range of vitamins and minerals you can do a lot worse than Seven Seas Multibionta.
Yes I would - it's not a 'quick win' but it's certainly a helping hand that you can give yourself for only a few pounds a month. As there are no oils in this pill, I would advise that if you want to, you can also take a combined Omega 3 and Fish Oil (Cod Liver Oil) tablet, which really helps with rheumatics, and aids brain development and memory.
As with any pill, if you have any underlying medical conditions, are pregnant or are currently on prescribed medication, always check with your GP before embarking on any new tablets.
I work in an office environment where the air conditioning is always on and there always seems to be a member of staff ill at any given time. Due to a combination of being around people who have been unwell and the lack of sleep I am getting as my Son frequently wakes up at night, it all took it's toll on me and a few months ago I ended up having a viral infection which made me quite ill and almost wiped me out for a week. When I started to recover (after a few days of taking anti-sickness tablets) my Doctor recommended that I take a multivitamin to try and prevent me from getting run down again.
Having seen an advert for Multibionta, I decided to buy Multibionta Advanced Formula as they were promoting their '14 day challenge or your money back' campaign. To be honest, I was sucked in by their campaign and this is the only reason why I bought Multibionta over any other tub of multivitamins. Multibionta are made by Seven Seas who are well established within the field of vitamins.
Multibionta Advanced Formula vitamins are sold in a Blue cardboard box and the vitamins are packaged in plastic tubs (which can be recycled). They are more expensive than other multivitamins as a tub of 28 tablets cost £3.29 at Tesco's.
Multibionta claims to be the first complete probiotic multivitamin. Their multivitamins contain a Tribion Harmonis blend of probiotics (Yes, I'm not too sure what Tribion Harmonis is either - but it sounds like a Shampoo). Each three layered tablet contains all of the recommended vitamins at 100% of the Recommended Daily Allowance as well as other important nutrients and Probiotics to help you cope with a hectic lifestyle.
I am not going to list all the vitamins and minerals as there too are many, however here are a few: Vitamins A, B complex, C, D, E, Folic Acid, Iron, Magnesium, Selenium and Zinc.
As the '14 day challenge' campaign suggests, you need to take them for at least 2 weeks to notice a benefit. Multibionta needs to be taken daily with water, before or with food. You mustn't take them with a hot drink as I presume that this reduces the effectiveness of the multivitamin. Multibionta needs to be taken in addition to eating a balanced diet and should not replace fresh fruit and veg.
The vitamins don't have an after taste and they don't repeat on you throughout the day, unlike cod liver oil etc. In terms of the tablets, the tablets are huge and are like horse pills! If you have trouble swallowing a small paracetamol tablet then there is no way you will swallow one of these.
Two months into taking Multibionta I woke up with a sore throat and generally felt unwell, so I took Ibuprofen to help relieve the symptoms and prevent my sore throat from getting worse, as this usually helps. About 3 days later I had a terrible cold, had sickness and felt run down again. If this was a 'one-off' bout of illness I wouldn't have minded, but since taking Multibionta I have been feeling quite tired, I don't feel my usual 'well' self and have picked up more colds.
So, after taking Multibionta Advanced Formula daily for over 3 months do I feel any different? The answer to that is simply 'no'. I feel completely indifferent. I am not saying that Multibionta is ineffective and doesn't work; it just doesn't seem to be making any difference to my health, however other people I know swear by them. Ok, I do have a little one running around and don't have as much time to myself as I used to, but I continue to have a healthy(ish) lifestyle, but can't seem to fend off the colds and bugs that seem to be everywhere.
I would rate Multibionta 2 stars as they don't seem to be making a difference to my health at present. Perhaps it's the time of year with so many bugs and illnesses around and maybe had I taken Multibionta in Spring, I may have noticed an improvement in my general well being. These are not something I am going to continue taking, however others may feel a benefit from taking Multibionta.
Other products in the Multibionta range include:
Multibionta Extra plus Omega 3, Multibionta 50+, Multibionta 50+ plus Glucosamine, Multibionta Activate and Multibionta Immune

Last summer I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, which without getting too technical or gross is an inflamation in the intestine simular in symptoms to the more widely known Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Since then I have been obsessed with my tummy! Before it had just been there, something that helped my jeans stay up and gave me a convenient place to put my belly button ring, slightly plumper perhaps than I would have liked, but still just my tummy. After my diagnosis though, it became the enemy. It had been the cause of 9 years pain and discomfort and I wasn?t taking it lightly? My weapon in the battle to regain control of my tummy was ?good bacteria.? ?Good bacteria? or probiotics to give them their proper name have become the health fad of recent years, with everyone suddenly keen to ?top up their good bacteria.? Some 'health' products have better levels of probiotic content than others. Most people have gained the sum total of their knowledge on the subject from a Yakult advertisement, but nonetheless business is booming for makers of products with probiotic benefits. Our bodies naturally contain billions of good bacteria, but the idea of products such as Actimel and Yakult yoghurt drinks is that they top up these bacteria, which then form a defence against ?bad bacteria? which in turn is beneficial for our immune and digestive systems - if the balance is right then we stay healthy. (Sort of like a good cop bad cop scenario with germs!) However keeping the balance right is the difficult bit which is why we are now encouraged to suppliment our probiotic intake. When I came across Multibionta, the first multivitamins with probiotics (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium longum, bacteria fans!) I was keen to give them a try. I was hoping that they would prove beneficial to my condition. They claim to contain a balanced formula of vitamins, minerals and probiotics to keep
you fit, healthy and full of energy and help you cope with today?s hectic lifestyle. Much is made in their advertising about the general well being aspects of taking these. There is also a version aimed at the over 50?s Multibionta are made by Seven Seas. They are in containers of 30 tablets that cost around £5.49. They are widely available in chemists and supermarkets. The container is plastic for ease of travel, but does not have a child proof cap. The box that the container comes in has extensive nutritional information and an ingredients list. They are gluten and wheat free, which comes as no surprise since they are being marketed at those of us with mutinous tummies! The tablets give off quite a strong odour and it is really unpleasant, sort of yeasty smell. They are 3 shades of brown in layers and actually resemble a miniature tablet hotdog (!) But the main problem with this product is the size of the tablets. They are huge!! Its is very difficult to swallow them because of the size, even though they are torpedo shaped and have a smooth coating to aid swallowing. They are not scored either so you can?t even split them in half to take them. This isn?t a problem if you have no difficulty taking tablets, but as so many people do, it seems a bit of a design flaw. You only need to take one a day but even one is difficult enough. But the question remains do they work? I?ve now taken a full course of 30 to fully assess the benefits. Certainly my stomach is less bloated, but I do take other supplements so it is impossible to be conclusive about this. I don?t feel full of energy or any less tired, but generally I do feel healthier and my skin is certainly looking better and I seem to be fighting the effects of the cold weather better than usual. There is a web site for this product www.multibionta.co.uk, which has some useful information about probiotics and their benefits to health. I foun
d it a real chore taking these tablets; I wouldn?t buy them again, purely because they were so difficult to take. The idea behind the product is sound and would apprear to be beneficial. Something along the same lines, but small round, sugar coated and not smelling like a brewery would be much appreciated please, Seven Seas.
Like most woman I am sure, I am desperate to tone up my pot belly after having my son. In a womans supplement I read through a pullout about toning up your tummy. As well as the obvious, excercise and eating sensibly it also recommended Probiotic Multi Vitamins. In particular 'Seven Seas Advanced formula MultiBionta' which is a complete multi vitamin with minerals and probiotic nutrients. Sounds like cobbledeegook? Well yes it did to me at first too, but please read on and I will try to explain in laymans terms, honestly it sounds brilliant! Basically, some of our pot bellies (as is mine) are mainly due to bloating because of water retention and the like. Probiotics are friendly bacteria that when used can soothe any intestinal problems that lead to the dreaded bloat! They work by forming a defence against the bad bacteria that lurk in all of our bods! In effect Probiotics support our immune systems. Probiotics can be found in some foods such as Milk, cheese and buttermilk, but like so many of us, I certainly don't get enougth. Multi Bionta by seven seas combines the Probiotic nutrients with multi vitamins, minerals and micro nutrients. Each tablet (you take one per day) contains 100% of the recommended daily allownace of vitamins and minerals as well as other nutrients and the probiotics. Seven Seas say that Mulitbionta is a breakthrough in nutrition, as it has been developed with the busy hectic lifestyles of today. Something which suits me as a busy working mum who is also studying alongside her job! Not to mention keep house! The claim is it can help keep you feeling fit, healthy and full of energy. The following is a list of what Multibionta contain: Probiotic Nutrients VITAMINS: Vitamin D Thiamin (B2) Riboflavin (B2) Niacin (B3) Vitamin B6
Folic Acid Vitamin B12 Biotin Pantothenic Acid ANTIOXIDANT VITAMINS: Vitamin A Vitamin C Vitamin E MINERALS: Iron Zinc Iodine This product seems to be aimed at the person with a hectic lifestyle, although it does recommend that pregnant woman or those planning to concieve should consult with their doctor before taking the supplement. I have been using these for just under a month so as yet cannot report back on the full effectivness of the claim it is worth noting that for results it is recommnded to continue usage alongside excercise and healthy eating. watch this space, bye bye bloated tummy? I hope so, and if I feel fitter and full of energy as well, great!
The only complete multivitamin with probiotics that is specially formulated to help you cope with a hectic lifestyle and stressful days.
