Tesco Vitamin B Complex
Advantages: Well priced
Disadvantages: None I can think of
I try to eat a healthy diet and I use vitamin supplements to give me an extra boost just in case I am deficient in anyway. I recently picked up the Tesco Vitamin B complex tablets in my local Tesco store. They are currenlty priced (May 2013) at £1.69 for 90 tablets or £4.06 for 240 tablets, when I purchased them they were on a three for two deal so I managed to save myself a bit of money and now have enough tablets to last me until 2014!.
The vitamin tablets are presented in a plastic bottle that is white and has a screw off pop lid that is purple and is fairly easy to move by twisting and pulling at the same time, it is designed to be child proof and does not leak or come off if you carry it around in your bag, which I tend to do. The tablets are easy to swallow, I take mine after breakfast. They have a slightly yeasty smell that is not unpleasant but reminds me of the brewers yeast my mother used to take when I was a child.
The tablets contain the following ingredients:
Calcium Carbonate,Cellulose ,Dicalcium Phosphate ,Niacin ,Maltodextrin ,Pantothenic Acid ,Mannitol ,Magnesium Stearate ,Vitamin B6 ,Thiamin ,Riboflavin ,Silicon Dioxide ,Folic Acid ,Biotin ,Vitamin B12.
The bottle says that this mixture of ingredients provides you with the recommend daily allowance of each of the ingredients stated above and that they are suitable for vegetarians. In addition they are free from milk, wheat, eggs and fish.
The Vitamin B complex is designed to give you a balance of all the B vitamins that are supposed to be necessary for helping you to convert the food you eat into energy and therefore keep you healthy and active. Vitamin B's are also suppoed to help with providing you with a healthy nervous system and assist in ensuring that you have healthy skin. In addition Vitamin B vitamins are also supposed to help in hormonal balancing in women, so that can only really be a good thing for some.
On the front of the bottle the vitamins are marketed as 'energy' which I assume means that Tesco have categorised their vitamins into easily recognisable labelling to help us choose what vitamins would best suit our particluar needs. I find this to be pretty helpful. On the back of the bottle is the usual bumpf about ingredients, how to store them; in a dry, cool place and to not exceed the use by date.
I have been taking the Vitamin B complex for a few weeks now and too be honest I have yet to notice much of a change in either my hair, skin, nervous system or general health. This I however, put down to the fact that vitamins usually tend to take a while to get into your system and do you any good, if any at all. I have noticed that I am a tiny be less hormonal, though I am not very stressed at work at the moment so this could have something to do with it.
Overall I would recommend this vitamin B comlex tablets to others as they are well priced, easy to swallow, the bottle is easy to open, close and store and I am sure that deep down they are doing me some good. I give the product 3 Dooyoo stars, as they have yet to show me that they are working, but in all other respect they are good.
Summary: Well priced complex of B vitamins
