Advantages: Cheap, easy to swallow

Disadvantages: None childproof cap

Ive never really been one for taking vitamins, mainly because I know how forgetful I am and with the best intentions I would buy some, take them for a few days and then completely forget about them so it would be a waste of money. However I have recently come back from holiday and just before and after the end of my holiday I was a bit unwell and thought maybe some multivitamins would a) help to 'top me up' with anything I had lost whilst unwell and b) hopefully prevent me feeling unwell again so I headed down to my local Boots and picked these up.

The product

These multivitamins come in a small, white plastic container with a red lid (not child-proof.) The front of the container is very plain merely featuring the Boots logo, the word 'Multivitamins' and a small box stating there are 30 tablets. Around the side of the container are the directions for use, warnings and ingredients and further around it lists the Nutritional Information.

There are 13 vitamins within each tablet and the daily dose of 1 tablet per day provides 100% of your Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of all of these with the exception of Vitamin A for which it provides 50% of your RDA.

These tablets are not suitable for children under the age of 12 and if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to become pregnant it is suggested that you consult with your pharmacist/doctor before using these - likewise if you are taking any blood thinning medication such as warfarin.

Using the product

The tablets themselves are fairly small - easily swallowable whole - and are light orange in colour. If you were to suck the tablet it just tastes plasticky but obviously you are not meant to suck on it,just swallow it. The dosage for this is 1 tablet a day and you should take it with liquid

Price

These multivitamins are currently priced at £0.79 for 30 tablets - compared to named brands of multivitamins this is actually extremely cheap and in my opinion very good value.

Summary

Since taking these tablets I have not been ill again and have actually been feeling a bit perkier although I could not obviously guarantee that this is due merely to the multivitamins. However, at such a cheap price I will certainly try to remember to keep taking these and would recommend them to anyone looking for multivitamins at a decent price. It is worth mentioning again thought that this product does not have a child-proof cap, which could be of concern to those with small children.

Summary: Cheap, easy to swallow multivitamins
