After feeling a bit run down after bout after bout of winter colds I decided that it was time to take myself in hand and while a bit late for a New Year's resolution, I thought it wouldn't hurt to take steps to bring out a new, healthier me for Spring.
I saw these Perfectil vitamins in Asda on special offer which meant I would be getting three packs for about the price of two. They are normally about £6 a box and for a split second I wondered what I would do with all these tablets if they didn't work. Still I decided to take the plunge.
There are 30 tablets in each pack and it is recommended that one tablet is taken every day with your main meal of the day.
After taking half of the three boxes of this food supplement, it was my nails where I noticed the most improvement. I generally have quite soft nails which break easily but I noticed a big improvement in their condition since starting to take Perfectil. They seem much harder and the shape is much smoother as they aren't chipping or breaking all the time. My hair is growing healthily, however I can't say this is just down to the Perfectil because growing my hair is a bit of obsession with me at the moment and so it's also getting the benefit of special treatments, shampoos and conditioners.
I do have problem skin though which is very reactive to changes in temperature and sensitive to some products and so any help in that area is welcome.
Although it is my nails which benefited the most noticeably from taking Perfectil I can only assume that some of the vitamins reached my hair and skin. My only problem was remembering to pick up a new pack once I had finished them but I'm sure I will take them again.
Last time my hairdresser came round she frowned AGAIN at the state of my hair. I have very weak and fragile hair thanks to a bad choice to get some cheap hair extensions put it and then ripped out you see.....
She has recommended a load of different hair products that I have gone out and bought and am using religiously. (Please see my other reviews for details!). But she also recommended that I bought these tablets.
I bought these Perfectil triple action pills for skin hair and nails about a month ago from Boots. They cost £20 for 90 and you take one a day so this is a three month supply. So a month is about £7.
You take one a day, as I say, with your main meal.
The pills are quite large and yellowy beigey in colour. I personally find them a little hard to swallow but then I have never been good at swallowing tablets. The pills are not sugar coated which doesn't help and they do have a flavour which isn't particularly nice but hey, most things that are good for you don't taste nice, right !?
So I've been using them for a month - but do the work? I have to be honest and say I don't know.
My skin is no better than it was. It is still a bit oily and I am still getting the occasional spot.
My nails have a always actually been very strong and grow very quick so this area isn't something I was concerned about.
My hair does feel better but I think this has more to do with the restructuring hair conditioners and hot oil treatments I have been using.
I would not buy this product again as I think a few decent hair Products will get you the same results and without the need to swallow these big hard tablets!
I have always had trouble with my nails. I had bitten them ever since I was a little kid, but I dont actually find it that difficult to grow them. The problem arises when they get to a certain length I get hangnails and they start chipping, so i end up getting rid and then eding up where I started!! This time I really wanted to sort myself out so I thought I would buy some Perfectil Skin, Hair and Nails to help me grow my nails once and for all!
You take Perfectil once a day with your biggest meal. There are 30 pills per pack so you get a month's worth, essentially. The tablets are relatively large - I would estimage about 1cm wide and 2.5cm long. I am one of those people that struggle taking tablets so with them being this size it was a bit of a daunting prospect to take them! I was hoping that they would have a sugary taste so they would go down better. Unfortunately this could not be further from the truth.
I have to say these pills taste absolutely disgusting. I cant really describe what the taste is of... its quite earthy and its one of those tastes that you can also really smell. It does make taking the pills really quite difficult when you combine it with their size. I tend to make some really strong squash to mask the taste, although it still seems to come through, no matter how strong I make my drink!
Besides from that, obviously its important to discuss whether they actually work! You are supposed to give it a couple of weeks to kick in to your system. I have been taking mine for a month now, so they pille should be fully in effect.
I have noticed a slight difference in my nails, they arent chipping quite as easily as they used to, although this is still happening. I havent notice that they are growing any quicker either, which is a shame as I'm not the most patient of people! Having said that, there is a definite improvement - my nails don't seem as brittle and they are definitely stronger.
Although I bought this product for the nails benefits, it is also designed to contribute to the health of your skin and hair. I have been fortunate enough to never have had massive problems with my skin, so to be honest, I havent noticed any difference since taking Perfectil. My hair does seem a bit healthier though, I have noticed it shining more and I dont seem to have as many split ends.
Boots are currently selling 30 pills for £6.69 which I think is worth it. If the price goes up much more, however I probably wouldn't bother! I am looking to try the perfectil plus nails as this is my main focus, and and keen to see what a difference that makes!
Having suffered hormone related problems with hair loss I was at my wits end. Its even worse when doctors shrug their shoulders and basically tell you that you are going bald and there is nothing that can be done. I started taking vitamin tablets over 5 years ago and recently discovered the perfectil range when it is advertised on the tube. Seeing the price of these tablets I thought blimey!! They must work why else are they so expensive??? I held out and there was an offer in Asda of any 3 vitamins for £10 so that's when I gave it a try. 3 months down the line and to be honest with you I am unsure whether they are working. I can see tiny baby hairs growing where I have lost hair but could this just be from time or because of the tablets who knows! My nails and hair has grown faster and stronger but not too sure whether I will be continuing the tablets once I have finished the packet. Having read reviews on the internet I was apprehensive as some people experienced side effects such as nausea but I guess I have been lucky and have not had any side effects. The tablets itself are pink and oval shaped. Quite easy to swallow so that's an advantage. I will continue taking these tablets and when I run out I will decide whether I will continue taking them. I guess everybody's body reacts to things differently so I think it is worth giving them a try. Remember like most things, there isn't a miracle cure out there!
I normally take another brand of H,S,N which are fab but i was on holiday for a month and i ran out half way through so i went to the chemist and found these, i recognised the brand from boots in the UK so i got a box. NEVER AGAIN!
As soon as i took a tablet within ten mins i was sick, i hadnt taken them with food so assumed it was my fault, the next day i took another tablet with food and again after ten mins i felt really sick, i wasnt sick but had to lie down and felt awful.
I kept up the tablets but took them before bed so i slept through the horrible feeling, then a week later my skin broke out and my nails all broke!!!! I immediatly stopped taking them and soon as i got back to the uk i went back to my original brand. i now have nice skin and nails again.
For me, for some reason these just didnt work with my body and i would never take them again.
I started taking these tablets when, under a period of stress, I began to worry that I was neglecting myself a little in terms of getting enough vitamins and minerals. Furthermore, I suffer with eczema, so I was keen to try something that claimed to work from the inside out, particularly on the skin as a target zone. As the manufacturers warn, these tablets are only meant to supplement your diet, they aren't meant to replace eating well. If you're going to try these supplements, my first piece of advice would be to persevere and be patient, as you won't see results overnight or even within a few weeks. From my experience, it took around 6 weeks for me to notice a difference to my nails and a couple of months for my skin. For me, there has been no marked difference in the condition of my hair, but I would say that it has grown more quickly. My nails have seen the biggest difference: they grow much longer and don't snap as easily or as frequently. You only notice how much they've worked if you stop taking them (but then you have to build the whole thing back up again, so it's probably just worth taking them regularly.)
I would advise that you don't take these tablets in a morning (do as the packet says and take them with a main meal) as they made me feel nauseous on an empty stomach! Overall, I think Perfectil is good for people who would normally take a vitamin supplement, but want to focus specifically on skin, hair and nails. Furthermore, I have tried "own-brand" skin, hair and nails supplements (as they're quite a lot cheaper) but they don't seem to have quite as good results (I'm not sure if this is due to different ingredients/slightly different amounts of different components).
I bought Perfectil plus skin, hair and nails tablets because my nails were brittle, dull and kept bending and snapping so i wanted something to bring them back to life.
They have certain nutrients that are vital to help maintain healthy looking skin, hair and nails for both women and men.
All you do is take 1 every day with water, with a meal (not breakfast) as they need to be taken on a full stomach. You dont need to take any other multi vitamins in addition to perfectil, they have all the vitamins and nutrients you need.
They have a range of over 20 nutrients formulated to help your nails, hair and skins lower dermal layer.
They are alot better than other creams and conditioners because they are a tablet they are delivered into the bloodstream effectively nourishing from the inside.
I have regularly used these pills to maintain healthy skin hair and nails and would recommend them.Since i have used them my nails are so much stronger and do not bend and break like they used to,and my hair seems fuller, healthier and shinier.
The only thing i'd say is in my opinion the tablets are quite big to swallow (i think it could just be me,i hate swallowing tablets!) but its worth it for the effect they have!
They are quite expensive (£8.95) for 30 but for what they do and how good they are i dont mind paying that much extra.
With just under a year until I get married I'm on a mission to get my hair, skin, nails and body into the best shape of my life!
I walked in circles at my local grocery store before deciding on Perfectil. It's clean packaging and promises of being Britains number one won me over. The price tag got to me a bit as i was looking for something £5 or uner and thie was priced at £7.99. The store own brand one was £4.99 but I thought I'd go with the leading brand.
The vitamins aren't too large so taking them isn't a hassle. I leave the box in the glove box of my car so I remember to take one in the morning.
After a week I had two spots and my hair was a little greasier than normal. I thought maybe as it was my time of the month maybe my spotty face and yucky hair was more to do with that then anything else.
I spent the following two weeks with quite bad skin and greasy hair. It was when the 4th nail split that I said no more!
I still can't understand why such a highly rated product did the reverse on me!?!?! A friend of mine has been taking them for years and she has lovely skin and hair!
It took only a couple days before my hair was back to its normal ways and a few more days for my skin to clear up. My nails are still recovering but in a lot better shape now.

Who should use Perfectil?
If you are the type of person who is always trying to achieve a glowing and radiant face, use skin care, try to eat the right food but require something extra to help you from with in, then Perfectil is for you.
Skin care only penetrates to your epidermis (top layer of skin) and if good enough to your dermis and most creams do not even reach the dermis, where you require it most. The dermis is where you have things like your hair follicles and Sebaceous Glands.
Food can sometimes lose its nutrients through cooking or just by natural aging, so you do not receive the full level of vitamins and minerals.
Perfectil reaches the deep layers of your skin to correct and to provide vitamins, minerals and nutrients that most skin cares or food cannot get to.
Eventually over time your skin, hair and nails look renewed, younger and radiant.
Perfectil is recommended for use by both men and women of all ages for the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails. People with dry, brittle hair often use it or with poor nail growth or lacklustre skin, which may be due to nutritional imbalance.
Perfectil is free of any drugs or hormones. For specific advice on taking these with medicines, we recommend that you contact your doctor or pharmacist first. The product has NO known side effects when taken as directed. Do not exceed the recommended tablet intake. In case of overdose, seek medical advice immediately.
Perfectil is free from artificial colourings, gelatine, gluten, preservatives and yeast. This product has not been tested on animals.
How many and when?
In a month's pack you have 30 tablets, one should be taken daily with water or a cold drink after a large meal, as this maximises the absorption of the nutrients. This should not be taken with hot liquids as the tablet disintegrates quickly and may cause the tablet to lose key nutrients.
I usually take the tablet after my dinner, as the body usually renews during the night whilst sleeping and relaxing, so when it does it has the vital vitamins and minerals to help repair the skin, hair and nails.
When do you see the effects?
This will depend on you and how serious you are to achieve your goals. By taking a tablet daily for the first two to three months is when you should see the effects. This can be sooner depending on your diet, exercise and if you smoke. It can take this long because skin can take up to six weeks to renew where as hair and nails up to three months.
You can continue use even after you have achieved your results to maintain your skin, hair and nails.
I saw the effects in a month, my dry skin started to clear up and I started to have stronger and shinier looking nails. My hair feels thicker and feels manageable than before. The taste of the product isn't too bad like most multivitamins, and they are easy to carry in your travel bag.

A bit about Perfectil
Perfectil is the UK's number one nutritional supplement specially developed for
skin, hair and nails. The advanced formulation is based on our 35 years of scientific research into the benefits of targeted optimal nutrition.
Over the years Perfectil has one many awards and has been editors choices in big magazines like Cosmopolitan and Glamour.
It's definitely worth the buy if you could like to see effects of a multivitamin tablet. You can purchase this product from Boots, Superdrugs, Amazon and most chemists. It is priced at £8.99 at Boots, but you can get 3 for 2, which generally works out cheaper and you get Boots Advantage Card points too.
I would recommend you take one Omega 3, 6 & 9 capsules with Perfectil, which can be found in Boots. The Omega helps with heart and joint function but also with skin, hair and nails radiance.
I bought the PERFECTIL PLUS DUAL PACK for my skin after trying many lotions and other products. I chose the dual pack as the additional nutria dermal capsual claims to contain extra specific nutrients targeted at skin health -Omega 3 & 6 for healthy complexion, lycopene for protection of uv damage and co Q10 for healthy skin cell metabolism. Combined with the 22 other nutrients the perfectil tablet has, lots of jargon on the pack and the £16.95 price tag, i was expecting miracles!
I took them as instructed on the pack- 1 perfectil tablet and 1 nutria dermal capsual per day after dinner with a full glass of water.
After a week I did notice a difference in the strength of my nails, they were definitely less brittle and had also grown. This gave me confidence in the product and I contined to use them for the 28 days, (you get 28 tablets per pack). At this stage I had still not seen a difference in my hair or skin.
I bought another pack to give it a longer chance but at the end it was still only my nails that had improved.
Of course everyone reacts differently to health and beauty products but in my opinion for £33.90 (cost of 2 packs that i tried) the same benefits could have been got from a good nail varnish at a fraction of the price leaving money left over for a face mask and hair conditioning treatment!!
Perfectil is probably the best hair skin and nails multivitamin on the market available today.I was first introduced to it back in 2003 after losing my due to alopecia. For anyone who has suffered hair loss knows,it was a very traumatic time for me.Nothing seemed to work at all.
I was abroad at the time and went to a dermatologist in the area.He told me there was hope as my hair follicle /root was not damaged. The doctor prescribed me these tablets along with one other medication.
Within one month I noticed a little bit of fuzz on my scalp. This gave me hope and so I continued to use them.within six months my patches were completely covered, which was brilliant. I would ofcourse put it down to the other product aswell, however my nails became rock solid and my skin became very rosy and clear.I sometimes even clipped my nails twice a week due to the quick growth!
I did stop using perfectil for two years but have restarted using it recently, simply because it works.Your pharmacist should be able to provide you with any extra information needed but I certainly give it the thumbs up.
What Is It?
Perfectil is a daily triple active vitabiotic tablet designed to help maintain healthy skin, nails and hair. Essentially its a lot of vitamins and minerals crammed into a tablet which helps keeps you healthy.
What Does It Contain?
The list on the back shows 20 vitamins and minerals which include Vitamin D, E and C and so i look at it as an extra boost on top of the daily essentials found in fruit and veg.
Does It Work?
To answer this fully would require a scientific test but from a personal point of view it's best to explain why i started taking this.
Although no longer as serious or obvious as it was, i used to have acne on my chest, face and a bit on my back which made me incredibly self conscious and despite the severity not being that of some people, it still troubled me. After trying all the oxy style products and even a few prescribed ones (ones so strong that they take the dye from my bedsheets) i essentially gave up hope and figured it was part of hormones etc.
My mother, an ex-nurse believed it could well be linked to hormones and general teenage growing up and said upping my vitamins etc might help. On top of doing this she said why not try a vitamin tablet and saw an advert for these.
I tried one and within a week saw a change. By taking them daily my spots have gone right down compared to how they were. Although perhaps its age, diet or something else I personally believe this balance of vitamins and minerals in Perfectil is what is helping.
Additionally my nails are a lot stronger now however i will say i haven't seen a change in my hair, not that i really expected much as its not bad to begin with really.
I have gone a few days before without taking a tablet, due to laziness or not being able to get to the shops to get them and have noticed my spots return a bit. Therefore i deduce that Perfectil must be helping in some way.
This is the painful bit, for 30 tablets you're looking at around £8.30ish but at 27p a day, for a healthier looking me, i think its worth that.
A great product, non chalky taste to it and it really does help. If nothing more, surely getting more vitamins inside you daily is a good thing?
Several months ago a friend recommended i used perfectil after i complained to her that my nails kept chipping, looked dull and wouldn't grow . Perfectil advanced nutrient capsules have been scientifically developed providing deep nourishment not only for nails but for skin as well . Now my nails are looking a lot heathier and i've actually started to grow them . The capsules work by helping cell maintainence and renewal and contain antioxidants to protect against sun damage . The capsules come is packs containing 30 and cost about 7.95 . They are avaliable from boots and other leading chemists , a bit pricey but well worth it .
