      Hair nails and skin supplements

      Sainsburys complete

My nails tend to chip and crack in the winter months, so I decided this year to try out a supplement to see if I could improve their condition.

      WHAT IS IT?

The product promises to help maintain healthy skin, hair and nails. To achieve this the tablets contain a number of vitamins, minerals and natural extracts, including: Vitamin C to help maintain skin's suppleness; Vitamin E to maintain healthy skin; Natural Beta Carotene. There seems to be nothing telling me which of the ingredients will help my nails so I have to assume there must be some.

The supplements come packaged in a box with all of the information on the back of the box. There are 30 of the tablets in total representing about a month's worth. They are packaged in 3 blister pack strips each one containing 10 individually wrapped tablets. To remove I just have to press into the foil of the blister pack and pull one out. The capsules themselves are grey in colour and are torpedo shaped and almost size- they are big! When I take one they have a slightly chalky feel especially if I feel I haven't felt as though I have swallowed it immediately, but then I am very bad at taking tablets.

One of these should be taken every day and due to the size make sure its with water

These are available from sainsburys stores and also online at www.sainsburys.co.uk and cost around £3.50; watch out for offers as I bought these on a bogof offer.

The tablets are, as I have said, very big and not the easiest to swallow. They do contain lots of things which sound good but because I don't know anything about the ingredients I just take it on trust that they will do me some good.

When I first started taking them I expected almost immediate results but this obviously didn't happen. However, after taking them for almost two months I have noticed that my nails have become stronger. I am not sure if this is due to the fact that I take the tablets or because they would have improved anyway. I haven't noticed any difference to hair and skin but wasn't looking out for marked improvements.

Based on how my nails have been and because they aren't overly expensive, I will continue to take these over the winter.

      Thanks for reading

      Daniela xx
