Sanatogen Complete A-Z
Advantages: Cheap, from the leading retailer of vitamins, got nearly all your necessary daily vitamins in.
Disadvantages: Not made much of a difference to me, hard to swallow.
I do try and eat a good and varied diet so as to get all my necessary nutrients in but I have to admit I do struggle to hit my five a day every day and when I do manage it, it is the usual Banana, Apple, Satsuma, Baby Tomato's and Potato's. Not very varied I have to admit, so to try and improve my health with out to much effort on my part I started taking Sanatogen A-Z complete one a day vitamins.
I am not a big fan of tablets, I have incredible difficulty even swallowing them, and they usually sit glued to my tongue while I gulp water trying to shift them. On the days I do manage to swallow a vitamin tablet I am happy knowing I am helping to boost my health, on the days I don't swallow a vitamin I turn to a soluble vitamin, but I would rather take Sanatogen as I feel they are the best in the vitamin industry.
The A-Z complete vitamins come in a cardboard box that is labelled up with all the same information that is on the tub inside, which in my opinion renders the box completely useless. The tub has a blue screw off lid, with no child safety cap. The tub is security sealed inside with a foil seal that you need to break the first time you open it.
The front of the tub tells us that the vitamins contain 25 essential vitamins and minerals and they help improve the immune system, skin and eyes, vitality, your bones and contain anti-oxidants. The side of the tub tells us that the vitamins contain 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vitamins A, D, E, C, B1, B2, Niacin, B6, Folic Acid, B12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Iron, Zinc and Iodine, They also contain 25% of your calcium, 18% of phosphorous and 33% of magnesium. The vitamins also contain Copper, Magnesium, Chromium, Selenium, Potassium and Chloride, there are no recommended daily allowances of these but I assume they are good for you and perfectly fine to take. The back of the pack tells us that the vitamins are not recommended for anyone under the age of 12 or anyone who is pregnant or trying to become pregnant due to the vitamin A in them. The vitamins are to be swallowed 1 a day with a glass of water; I try and take my vitamin with my breakfast as it is part of my daily routine.
The vitamins themselves are 1.8cm long and are oval shape. They are a nice magnolia colour and coated in a smooth substance to aid swallowing, not that it helps me. The tablets have no marking for them to be snapped in half, but I usually snap it to help me swallow it easier.
The vitamins contain anti-oxidants and theses are good for us as they slow down the damage caused by free radicals within our bodies. Free radicals are normally a healthy part of our immune system but excessive free radicals caused by stress, eating processed foods and illness can cause cell damage within the body that leads to premature aging.
Sanatogen A-Z complete is sold in most chemists and supermarkets and can also be brought online, Currently on Amazon.co.uk a tub of 30 retails for £5.42 a tub of 60 retails for £7.75 and a tub of 90 retails for £8.25, so as you can see the more vitamins you buy the cheaper they become, which if you take one a day makes financial sense.
I have to admit I have not noticed much of a difference in my overall well being while taking theses vitamins. I have been taking them for over a year now. My nails and hair are strong, but my skin is still prone to spots and blemishes, I have not suffered a cold while taking these but I very rarely got one before I started taking them. I now think that the vitamins don't make that much of a difference to me but I don't see what harm taking them will do me and if I stop might notice what good they have been doing me.
I give these 3 out of 5 stars as there is to much packaging and I am not sure if they have made any positive difference to me.
Thank you for reading.
