Advantages: Claims to help keep joints supple and rebuild cartilage tissue.

Disadvantages: Not really sure if it works. Very large black pills. Too easy to buy, especially with such claims.

What do I think?
*************
I'm still not so sure about these, although I have felt some difference after taking these, I have been experiencing mild joint stiffness and aches for a while and put it down to mild arthritis. I was hoping that taking these might help. Having taken these for about a week I felt that the stiffness in my joints had disappeared. Although, I wasn't sure whether these were down to the tablets or just my immune system recovering back to normal.

I wouldn't recommend these to anyone to take unless you are prescribed these by a doctor or health professional. When I asked about these at the pharmacist, they advised me that, really, I shouldn't need to take these as long as I had a balanced diet and that I was better off getting as much nutrients naturally from my food than taking these tablets.

The tablets need to be taken with cold water and generally only one capsule a day is recommended, although the maximum is three capsules per day. The capsules are very large pills - approx. 2.5cm long, that's just about an inch long and black in colour - they do look quite intimidating when you first take them out from the packet. I personally found these quite difficult to swallow, so have stopped taking these altogether and have just focussed on a more balanced and nutritional diet.

The information provided on the packet about helping to rebuild cartilage tissue and keeping joints supple etc. all sound very impressive, but if it really does that and with such a large pill containing a high cocktail dose of cod lover oil and glucosamine - I have my reservations and would definitely suggest that a doctor is consulted before these are taken.

The tablets cost about £9.99 at Boots but I think the price has been increased to about £11-£12. This is only for 30 capsules so is quite costly, especially if you plan to take it regularly for a chronic health problem. If you do need something like this on a long-term basis, I'm sure the GP would be able prescribe something, it would cheaper and economical too.

Looking back it really worries me over how easy it was for me to buy these over the counter...

Thanks for reading.

I find these vital to oil my joints! although they are an inch long, they are a lot easier to swallow than the large, circular pills like some painkillers. Nice review though!

I would just stick to cod liver oil, which does help stiff joints to loosen up a little.
