With my daughter being in nursery and both myself and my husband working in an office that has air conditioning we always seem to be picking up sniffles and colds especially in the Autumn / Winter / Early Spring, and I wanted to do something practical to boost our immune system to try and either ward them off or at least give us the defences to fight off any bugs so they don't hang around for as long. We already drink orange juice and eat our five a day of fruit and veg, so we tried effervescent vitamin c. But what with having to get up and out of the house to work in the mornings we ended up forgetting or not having the time most mornings, so it wasn't practical. Now, .. Read the complete review

For sometime now i've been worried about my lack of '5 a day', I take Centrum multi-vitamin tablets each day to help ensure i am topping up my mineral and vitamin levels, but wanted something more. During a particularly successful shop we bought three packs of these Tesco Chewable Vitamin C tablets on a 3 for 2 offer, this meant it cost us £9.72 for 270 chewable tablets, it seemed like a good deal, as each pack is £4.86 for 90 tablets. Looks: The pack is surprisingly cheap looking for an expensive vitamin, with the obligatory screwcap to stop children and adults like me accessing it. It is orange, obviously this colour fits with the ... Read the complete review

I know that I don't get enough Vitamin C during these cold months; therefore I tend to use food supplements. Tesco's Chewable Vitamin C Tablets: Nowadays, most supermarket chains offer cheaper versions of a more expensive product, which in many cases are virtually identical. Tesco's chewable Vitamin C comes in the sizes; 200mg and 500mg, either in tubes of 30, 60 or 90. My main reason for choosing to take a food supplement is that I simply ... Read the complete review

Vitamin C is an essential vitamin required to support your immune system. In theory you should be able to get all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients the body requires through your daily intake of food. However, in practice we do not always eat the healthiest options, and I for one know that I struggle to reach my recommended '5 a day' fruit and veg. These Vitamin C pills are a convenient and easy way to supplement your diet. I get these ones from Tesco as they are clearly labelled as chewable which is important to me. Tesco say: "Chewable Vitamin C Food Supplement with Sweeteners. Vitamin C helps support the body's immune system, and is necessary ... Read the complete review

Not so long ago I was really under the weather, my daughter had chicken pox and I had a neverending cold which left me snivelling, headachey and coughing for ages. Whilst I stuck with the traditional method of giving my daughter fruit high in vitamin C (she loves them she was literally eating a bag of clementines/tangerines a day! costing me a fortune!) I opted for the slightly cheaper and lazier option for myself and bought some supplements from Tesco. - Packaging - The packaging has slightly updated to the one shown above, but it is pretty similar in that it is a white circular tub with an orange lid and label. I bought the tub of 30 tablets which ... Read the complete review
