Tesco Chewable Vitamin C
Advantages: Cheap, not awful to take
Disadvantages: Not sure really if they work!
One thing I take often is vitamins. I suffer terribly with M.E and a thyroid condition both to which bring down my immune system rather alot. I take Vitamin C due to the fact that I don't eat enough fresh fruit and vegetables and I smoke and we all know that smoking can kill Vitamin C so thats why I take them!
I often buy shops own vitamins as usually they work out cheaper than branded ones and I shop alot in Asda and Tesco and at the moment these are the vitamin c tablets I am taking.
These chewable vitamin c tablets come in different sized white tubs and hold 30, 60, 90 tablets and depending on the size you buy contains different amounts of the Vitamin C. I usually buy the tubs that hold 30 tablets and contain 200mg of the Vitamin C.
The tub has an orange and white coloursheme to it and we are clearly told what they are and who they are by and the amount in the tub is clearly shown then on the back of the tub we are told a little bit about the product, directions for use are given and contact details for Tesco are again clearly listed.
All you do with these is to suck one of the tablets or chew it up. They taste of oranges in a sweet way but are not disgusting in flavour and there isn't too much tablet to get gone.
These are suitable for children and adults over the age of 12 years old and suitable for long term use, which I do. They do contain Aspartame though which I know some people are concerned about and the ingredients within these are listed on the back of the tub.
Do I Feel Better For taking Them?:
No real idea lets be honest! I don't feel more energetic or anything and who's to say really if I am healthier for taking them or not, we do not have a crystal ball afterall. I still get coughs and colds and whose to say I get less of them since eating one of these a day????.......I'll never know but what I will say is that I don't feel it is harmful for someone like me who knows her diet isn't great and smokes to take them and so I am happy to continue to do so.
These are quite often on offer in Tesco with them being 3 for the price of 2 otherwise they cost only 72p for a tub of 30 I buy which lasts me about a month which I think is great value!
Only available from Tesco stores.
Summary: I'm happy to take them just in case they do work lol
