Advantages: Good value for money

Disadvantages: These dont taste too good.

I usually get the Haliborange version of these but when I was in Tesco a few months back i thought i would give these a try as they were so much cheaper at about a £1 a tube rather than the usual £3.99. A massive saving at only a quarter of the price.

To be honest you are getting what you pay for, as a vit C supplement they do the job but the actual drink they make up when a tablet is dissolved is nasty. These ones seems to produce a lot more scum and froth around the glass and they never seemed to dissolve fully leaving gritty bits at the bottom of the glass. Also the flavour is not the best, I know effervescent vitamin drinks are not designed for flavour but it does help if they are not too tart and sour.

They are a bargain and they do the job of keeping colds and sniffles at bay as they deliver a large 1000mg of vit C into your system very quickly being a liquid. But the Tesco ones tended to put me off taking them as I just dreaded the flavour. They are also a really bright ugly shade of orange that looks really artificial.

I've gone back to the Haliborange in the ruby orange flavour as they are so much more palatable and when made up in a pint glass they are pleasant to drink. Maybe it's because I'm used to another brand but I won't be trying these again.

Even though this version it not for me I'm still going to rate these 4 starts as they do the same job and are such good value for money.

Summary: If you dont mind the flavour they are a good buy
