Disadvantages: Do not take on an empty stomach.
To keep myself in tip top shape I have to supplement my diet with multi vitamins, as hard as I try, sometimes I am too buys to eat a proper balanced diet and get all my goodness. I have quite a weak immune system so to avoid getting run down I buy multi vitamins. Currently I buy the ones from Tesco.
These vitamins cost 87 pence for sixty tablets and are often on special offer in a three for two. As these have quite a long sell by date on them I often stock up while they are on offer. You can also buy bigger pack sizes, and packs with additional extras, like cod liver oil, or iron. These are a bit more expensive, but work out worthwhile investing in if you were going to buy the two products seperately anyway.
The packaging is quite plain and simple. It is blue and basic with the details on and a small picture of two people. The lid is a screw on and off, and once oyu screw it back on it is actually quite secure so you won't get any spillages if you fancy carrying the tablets in your bag, which is actually quite a handy way to take them.
The vitamins contain: Vitamins A, C, D and E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folic acid, Vitamin B12, Panthotenic acid and Iron. I find this combination is all I need to take on a daily basis. I do take extras and top ups (such as echinacea, iron, cod liver oil, glucosamine etc), but I dont really want them in my multi vitamins as I don't take them every day, I take them as and when I need them and alter the doseage accordingly.
When I am taking my multivitamins, I feel better in myself, a little more lively, I am less likely to get a cold, and my skin is better. For the cheap price they are, they make such a difference in my life that there is no question as to whether or not I will carry on buying them.
There is one downside to these vitamins which I want to point out- it may not happen to everyone, it may just be a personal thing, but beware! I cannot take these on a empty stomach, if I do, they make me feel sick instantly. The feeling goes after a while but is unpleasant while it lasts.
Summary: Why not take them?
