As many of you will be very well aware if you read my reviews regularly (thank you by the way to those of you who do!) I am a very big fan of homeopathic and a more holistic approach to my health issues. I always say the same thing though for my more serious health issues such as my thyroid I do take orthodox medication (Tablets prescribed by a Doctor) to deal with that and keep myself well and alive and I don't play Russian roulette with my life and don't suggest for one second others do either, however for less serious ailments I will try more natural and herbal remedies out (once I know I don't have a 'real' medical problem of course.

Recently my life has been a bit traumatic to say the least. I've had neighbours from hell who only just in the past couple of weeks have left the property. My relationship with the love of my life ended a year ago and not very well I may hasten to add to the point he still texts, calls and if that doesn't work contacts others people, mainly just to needle me not to sort us out. My mother hasn't been very well at all, my best mate has mental health issues and I suffer with M.E, hypothyroidism, ccoxidinia and general aches and pains brought on by M.E. Its fair to say I generally haven't felt physically or emotionally very well with a lack of sleep that's caused confusion and mood swings for quite a while now I can tell you lol.

My best friends mother is very into natural remedies for this that and the other and is a very clever woman. One day I was at her home having dinner with the family when I could feel my mind snapping and me getting upset. Luckily I've known her over 20 years and emotions I didn't even know I had flew out of me. She asked me what was wrong and I did my best between sniffles to tell her when she said look I've just bought these I reckon they could help you and so pleased with a small bottle of tablets worth £6.95 for 125 of them that she gave me I decided to give them a go.

The Packaging:

The tablets come in a small brown glass bottle with a white twist on/off lid to the top of them and around the bottle there is a white label and on that we are told that they are Weleda Bryonia 30c and that there are 125 tablets in the bottle and then around the back of the label we are given directions for use and contact details for the manufacturer are given. The outer box is the same as the bottle labelling wise and is the same colour scheme being white with blue writing on it and tells us exactly the same information as given on the bottle.

What Are Bryonia Meant For:

Basically its for a dryness of the body and/or the mind. Dry eyes, mouth and stiffness of the mind I think is the best description for them really! No information is listed on any of the packaging as to what these are for and research on the net and from books and things that I have read in the past tells me these are for people who are very matter of fact in their personality, people who fear poverty and not making the best of themselves and for loners, people who like peace and quiet and to be left on their own....that end bit describes me to a tee by the way lol.

These can not only be good for dry eyes and throats and the likes but for stiffness of bones, joints and muscles and good for anxiety and depression (whish I also suffer from). Most days because of my M.E I tend to sit in one place knowing I have jobs to do but don't and that was the key reason my friends mum gave me these.

Taking Them:

With homeopathic medicines and tablets the one annoyance I have with them is the lack of clear instructions they ever have on them. Ok I have taken a lot of them in my time and done a lot of reading on the matter but people new to them may not have done so and those people wouldn't know not to touch the tablet because for some reason that ruins it and also not to eat or drink before or after taking it for a good hour around that time. Me I dispense 2 tablets every two hours and that is part of the dosage advice on the packaging cos you can take just one as a dose if you want to every couple of hours and for less acute symptoms of the things I've listed above you can simply take a dose 3 times a day. I suggest you take the maximum dose first off though as you've already decided that you need them, then lower the dose to the one tablet then when your ready take it down once again until you've finished the bottle. These are the 30c dosage meant for more acute problems and not for long term usage. These are meant to bump you up with Byronia and sort of cure the problem, if not you can lower down to a 6c dose which you can take indefinitely.

These are suitable for children, animals and of course adults of all ages. They are none addictive and of course contain no nasties and are only a natural remedy so shouldn't interfere with any other medication you usually take however it is always best of course to check with your Doctor if your not entirely sure, I did but the Doctor I saw and mentioned them to is a homeopathic Doctor of mine.

Taking them is really easy all you have to do is dispense your required amount into the cap at the top of the bottle and place them onto your tongue. The tablets are white and really small and have a slight sweetness to them and you need to allow them to melt and disappear on your tongue which takes about five minutes and isn't a horrible process at all but you do get left with a slightly artificially sweet aftertaste which takes a while to fade.

Do They Work Though:?

The first thing I noticed was that my sore throat created by my eating disorder and thyroid felt tons better. I cant say it was perfectly ok but it was much improved and I felt I was able to swallow better and really I felt not so dry so instantly I felt better about that! Also when I started taking these tablets the sun was shining and it was warm out and as a hayfever sufferer I usually get dry itchy eyes and use drops given to me by my Doctor for them, however I didn't need to use those and my eyes did not itch or feel one bit dry at all. So results were good there!

Also by taking these I do feel a bit more energetic. I'm not doing cartwheels around my home but I am more socialable and not so down in the mouth. I'm rather a loner and this hasn't stopped me being that way fully but I'm brighter to be around when taking these (according to my mate lol) and in general feel alot more positive in myself and about the world around me.

Through the trauma of my neighbours leaving and the anxiousness I felt I took these every 2 hours and at the recommended full dosage, on the dot lol. Prior to taking these I felt panic and scared. I'd already had a physical fight with the five men that lived there and not come off to well and I wanted no more issues, just them to clear off. These really helped me keep my cool and I felt braver than usual so help me they really did!

Do I think these work? Absolutely they didn't only work on what I expected them too such as with my anxiety they help lift me temporarily out of the depression I am all to known to and the fact my throat felt better as did my eyes were just added bonuses and made me just feel a lot more comfortable. I did hope for an improvement in my back and spine pains but I didn't get that and didn't really expect to but I felt brighter about the pain so there you go lol.

All in all I do recommend these and rather highly at that to be fair to them. If your a loner to the point even your fed up with yourself and would like to be more sociable and easier with people try them!
