We moved offices at work and were given these phones to replace our old handsets. I have no idea about SKYPE or any business decision behind them so can only review from a user's persepctive. This is a big handset with quite a few buttons and a big display. It tells you your name, extension and the time and date on the display which is quite helpful and it also tells you who is calling (the number and name if it knows it) when the phone rings.
