Cheap VOIP and Landline phone (Doro 635IPW)

I have used the Doro 635ipw Wireless VOIP and landline handset.

This handset is a very basic model with very few landline features that we usually take for granted on the most basic of phones. However the build quality is very good being smart and attractive the phone is quite enjoyable to use.

I have dropped the phone a number of times with out damage which is a real plus for this handset as I have broken many in the past.



The installation was quite standard but I did have issues getting the wireless function to work this was resolved by flashing the hardware which means updating the software on the handset from the advice of the customer services department went quite smoothly and fixed the no connection issue.

The sound quality of the phone is quite good above average even on both the VOIP line and landline however there is a slight echo sometimes detected on the VOIP evening running through different VOIP services and Broadband lines which makes me think this is either a defect or a feature of the phone.

The device doesn't have many features apart from the basic ones call waiting and caller display that although works well is limits the usefulness of the handset for example no conferencing facilities available



In conclusion the phone works quite well apart from the slight echo sometimes detected in conversations. The phone is very well made with a hard plastic shell to protect the damage of being dropped on the floor



I would recommend this product a it works very well and makes calling much cheaper than the normal telecoms carriers a must for everyone
