The Polycom Soundpoint IP phone has been installed in our new offices a number of months ago and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the hardware and usability of the phone.

The phone is designed around a standard office work phone which is wired no wireless available. The handset is made of hard plastic with makes it very durable. The phone is also quite comfortable when held against your ear for long periods of time with no warming detected or irritation.

The menu system is very well thought through and it's easy to switch between VOIP and Landline calling at a press of a button

The sound quality is very good for landline calls and IP calls there is no echo or sound distortion detected. The phone supports all the features you would expect from a high end business handset including call waiting and conferencing.

In conclusion this handset is quite easy to setup but if you do have any issues the customer services is very good and answered all my questions and queries on the one call. The customer service that comes with the phone is an important factor when purchasing telecoms equipment as things do eventually go wrong and it's good to know there's support available.

I would recommend this phone to any medium or large business that requires a new phone system. Being an IP system call cost is cheaper than standard line. This phone is not suitable for home use.

Summary: This phone has been my office phone fora while it does everything you need in an office
