Advantages: Easy to use and install good build quality

Disadvantages: Issue that the phone would deactivate my speakers never resolved the issue

This phone was the first IP phone I purchased a number of years ago now and I have been happy with it ever since
The phone is made from hard plastic it looks and feels well made.
This is important because this phone connects to your computer via a USB cable and through experience its easy to knock onto the floor on many occasions
The phone is easy to set-up Plug and play which means you can connect the phone to your computer via the UBS socket and the computer will automatically install the correct drivers for the device. The phone is quite cheap as its been a round for a number of years and has limited functionality. The UBS cable that connects the IP phone to your computer is less than a meter and isn't extendible which means you are tied to your computer.

More expensive IP phones are wireless so you can move around the house and continue your conversation
About three years ago I purchased this product and within ten minutes was making my first call on Skype The sound quality has generally been good whilst few conversations have been poor quality I believe this is the quality of the Skype connection not the IP phones fault.

The phone gets its power from the UBS connection so there aren't any unnecessary cables cluttering your computer environment
I would say that I did have an issue that I was unable to resolve when the phone was plugged into the computers it would deactivate the speakers and all the computers sounds would come through the phone this wasn't a major issue but you couldn't leave the phone plugged in as you wouldn't hear Skype ringing.
However this issue didn't appear to effect our friends computer when we let them use our IP phone to make Skype calls

In conclusion This phone is a lot of fun is well made and does everything it says on the box a must for Skype fans who want a cheap phone before buying something a bit more technical and expensive that has more features
