... machine does not exactly have a 'WOW' factor but it does do the basics: washing and spin drying your clothes and I grudgingly accept that it does these well. Options for prewash, programme selector, full/half load and a dial to choose drying time can be selected by using the buttons at the top. Make sure you keep hold of your manual though because everything is shown by strange diagrams and in all the time I have owned it I have never managed to remember what all of them do. I moved into my house 3 years ago and inherited this from the previous owners. I could soon see why.... Ok first the good news: the washing machine looks fairly modern and has not needed any repairs in the time that I have owned it. It takes a 4.5kg load and when new cost around £500. When running, the machine is reasonably quiet (with the obvious exception of when it goes into long spin mode) and the spin drying mode is effective. Also, once I tracked down an instruction booklet on the internet it turned out that it was not too difficult to use and does not need much maintenance other than to pull out and clean the filter every once in a while.
