      A good clean wash

We paid around £279 for this a few years back from Currys. Installation was really easy, my husband managed to this within around 10minutes as all he needed to do was plug in the cold water and drainage pipes. It is front loading machine and the opening is quite large with a decent sized clear plastic panel to the front. I would say that the machine is of standard size, is measures around 85cm tall, 55cm deep and 60cm wide.

It has several features: Pre-wash, Quick wash, AA40: This is the energy efficient wash, Night wash start delay and Spin only. When we first looked at the washer, it did look a bit confusing as there are quite a few buttons to the front. The first row of buttons determines what type of clothes you are washing such as cottons, wools etc, the second row is for the temperature, the third is the spin speed, the next is the option available on the wash such as pre-wash, AA40 (more efficient). All these buttons are grey in colour, when I want to use the washer, I simply turn is on by pressing the large on/off button situated in the top right hand corner, and then work my way across the different buttons and then press start. Above each of the buttons are a series of options, for example, above the fabric button it has listed 'cottons, synthetics, delicates, wool and hand wash, when I press the fabric button, it will automatically default to the setting at the top of the list which is cottons (a little green light appears at the side), if I want the next setting, I just press the grey button again.

Along the front of the machine, there are then two orange buttons which relate to the drying, the first is for the type of clothes and the machine determines the temperature and duration based on the type and the next just differentiates between cottons or synthetics. Just like the washing button, all I need to do is turn the machine on, press the button, it will then illuminate one of the setting down the side, if I want one lower down, just keep pressing the button until you reach you desired setting and then press start.

I do find the washing machine is very quiet when in use on most of the settings, I only really know it's when it's draining. For all the cycles I have used, I have been pleased with the results; my clothes always come out looking nice and clean, even the heavily soiled chef whites and Laurens clothes from when she was younger and weaning. On the odd occasion I have used the dryer, this too has performed well.

I would recommend this washer and it gets 5 out of 5.
