Reviews on "Washing Machine"

DarkLady General Comments / Advice: ... clean clothes fresh from the machine! Having washed your dark coloured socks and undies at forty degrees you would be forgiven for thinking that they are as clean as they smell. Well probably not. Forty degrees is only slightly warmer than blood 36-38 degrees and is a good temperature at which to grow germs. I recently pinched a pair of my Mum's socks from the drawer (sorry Mum!). My Mum suffers ra...

silvernet Samsung SWF P1205
... my 16 year old Phillips Washing Machine finally had to go to the washing machine cemetary - RIP. It had never gone wrong in all of that time and if I could have purchased another - I would have. Sadly, Philips, for whatever reason, no longer make washing machines. So now what do I buy ? - I decide to ask the independant expert, our nieghbour who is a washing machine engineer, his advice - Bosch or Samsung. This advice was based on his experience over the years. He told me not to buy Hotpoint, Servis, Hoover, Creda, Zanussi - they are all troublesome. I looked at the Bosch and Samsungs on offer and then checked the facilities against price/performance. I finally...

Wenonah2 Bosch WFL 2000
... Bosch WFL2260 machine was delivered a week ago. There are four basic programmes cotton and linen, easy care, delicates and woolens. The temperature selection varying from 30 to 90 degrees. It has variable spin, from 1100 to 600, with a rinse hold option. Select a temperature for water within the four basic programmes, then select the spin speed and start the machine. There are three extra buttons: reduced ironing, which tumbles the clothes gently in the last cycle, extra rinse, and quick wash. So far, I love the machine! With the higher spin speeds, the clothes come out almost dry very useful for jeans. Permanent press shirts come out really clean, although I d...

wasted_uk Hoover Quattro 1300
... had the Hoover Quattro for just under three years and have had three problems: 1. Drain pump failed. 2. Conditioner drawer fails to drain 3. Drum fails to rotate. The machine is covered with a 5 year extended warrenty and the parts were replaced but the Service Engineer did not have many good things to say about this machine. What are the good points? Good value for money at £400 for a combined washed dryer. The 1300 spin speed does a good job of drying the cloths. It is reasonably stable while spinning at 1300rpm. Bad points: no filter, this means any item can get through and destroy your drain pump. The time for the wash cycle is quite long. The f...
