Bosch Maxx WFL 2000GB ... our 3 year old hoover gave up the ghost 2 months after our warranty ran out ( not an uncommon problem with Hoover) We decided, therefore, to update. Our local shop deals only in Bosch or AEG. Why? We asked, they answered that all the other machines are now marketted for the Comet or Currys market and these companies are more interested in the warranty side of their marketting. So we paid a little extra and bought the Bosch Maxx from a local electrician. They came the next day and installed it. It has a "A" efficiency rating and an "A" wash rating and both these ratings are well justified.. The machine is quiet, has a fast spin - 1300 -... Zanussi FLS1383W ... I first got married money was tight so a washing machine was way down our list of priorities however when my son was a year old I thought it time to invest in an automatic washing machine. We chose a Zanussi and it did yeoman service but after nineteen year of three loads a day it decided it needed to retire. Please don’t ask where the three loads come from some days I think I do it for the entire street. So with a rattle and a clunk it gave up. I phoned the repair man (can you hear him laughing) who politely informed me a machine that age was not worth repairing as the parts were no longer available. Hotpoint WM64 ... as our old AEG washing machine was 17 years old and started to break down every five minutes, we thought that buying the Hotpoint WM64 (a new model at it's time - about 1997) would be a wise choice. Oh no! We certainly made a mistake there! So what's the machine like? Rubbish The controls? Easy to use mechanical operation that has had to be replaced 3 times in the last 4 years we've had it.
