... bought the Zanussi FL-1085 "Quick & Clean" 2 years ago. I was recommended the Zanussi make as I had heard that it was extremely reliable and I haven't been disapointed in any way. General Comments / Advice ... opinion tells what a great workhorse her Indesit washing machine was. I've still got mine - and an Indesit dishwasher! Had 'em both for more years than I can remember. Yes, they have occasionally needed repair, but my husband, being a keen DIYer has always managed to find a magic bit, lurking in cellar or garage to fix it. (No we don't keep the car in the garage, or wine in the cellar)Try any service place and they'll tell you it needs a whole new inside, or something - you should very rarely believe it, whether or not Indesit. Bosch WFL 2000 ... hard worker. I have had this for over 3 years and it hasn't gone wrong once. I have used it seven to ten times a week for all of this time. The only problem we had was not the machine's fault. A bra wire got caught in the drum, and my husband was able to fix this fairly easily. The detergent drawer gets a bit mucky, but it is easily removed and cleaned. The spin cycle is good, so the clothes come out fairly dry. On a woolen wash it automatically reduces the spin speed, so if you forget to turn it lower, it doesn't ruin your clothes. It is also not as noisy as other washing machines. General Comments / Advice ... buying an electrical appliance it's worth taking into account Customer Service. My experience relates to an oven, but could just as easily be a washing machine, microwave etc. We had a problem with our new Whirlpool oven..it seemed as though heat was escaping as the area around the oven was like a hothouse. By a strange coincidence "Watchdog" then did a feature about Whirlpool ovens saying that there was recognised fault with the seals on the oven door and that it was worth getting them checked over.
