Hoover Quattro 1300:
... had the Hoover Quattro for just under three years and have had three problems: 1. Drain pump failed. 2. Conditioner drawer fails to drain 3. Drum fails to rotate. The machine is covered with a 5 year extended warrenty and the parts were replaced but the Service Engineer did not have many good things to say about this machine. What are the good points? Good value for money at £400 for a combined wa... Read the full review: OK Washer /Dryer - Poor Reliability by wasted_uk |

LG WD 1243F ... was recently in the position of having to buy a new washing machine when my old one decided to die a slow and painful (for me) death. I did quite a bit of research on which model to buy, consulting web sites, Which magazine etc. However, the underlying fact was “I need a cheap one that works”. Where I work I am able to obtain certain products at discount and the manufacturer LG is one of them. Their WD-1243H machine had received quite good write-ups so I decided that I would buy one of these. They retail at about £450 and I could get one for £300. Firstly it is a very nice looking machine. It is predominantly white, but has a chrome door. All the contr... Read the full review: The best thing to happen to my kitchen for a long while! by janeh |

Samsung SW 70A1 ... following paragraph might be difficult to comprehend for the average UK resident. You have to put yourself in the Bombayite’s shoes to understand the space constraints we have in this crowded city and the innovative methods that are used to circumvent our handicap. We had a National NA200 for many years and decided we needed a fully automatic machine. The NA200, for those who may not be aware, is a twin tub semiautomatic. These twin tubs have a rectangular footprint that is very wide but not too deep. We had renovated our house to accommodate the NA200 sideways. The resultant niche built in the wall for the machine was therefore just too narrow for most sing... Read the full review: Washing Dirty Linen by emil |

Servis M3008 ... decided to buy a new washing machine when our old one decided to make a dramatic exit by catching fire in the kitchen! Luckily we were in at the time, and after much swearing, shoving and water throwing (Ok, not the thing you should do when an electrical appliance is on fire, but at the time it seemed like a good idea, even though more water ended up on the kitchen floor than on the burning washing machine!), we managed to get the offending appliance outside with the minimum of damage. This, however, left us not only with a great gaping hole under the kitchen counter where the washer had lived, but a gigantic pile of toddler generated washing, and no means of washing...
