For a comparatively modest price it gives a very good wash and is quiet and versatile. Hotpoint WM64 ... have had my Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine now for about 7 years and the only time I had an engineer to it was when the underwire came out of one of my bras and got stuck inside the washing machine! The machine was actually won in a competition run by our local paper so I had no idea what I was getting. I took out the extra warranty but, as I say, only used it once. I continued with Hotpoint's annual insurance until this year when it became very expensive so I decided to take my chances and put that money towards a new washing machine should the need arise. Hotpoint WM64 ... over 1 year ago I bought a hotpoint aquarius washing machine. We needed a new machine as the one we had was beginning to break down due to the regular use. We have three babies in the house and naturally the washing machine was in regular use. We got this new aquarius machine and after a couple of months problems started appearing which necesitated calling for the repair man. During the year we had the repair man out now fewer than six times. At the end of the year we were told that the washing machine was burnt out and hotpoint gave us a full refund and told us not to buy another one because of the amount of use it was getting they would not guarantee t... Bosch WFK 2801 ... had our Bosch washing machine for 3 years now and it has been superb. It has the usual selection of programs most of which we ignore. The delay timer is good for nighttime washes and it is quiet enough not to disturb anyone even when spinning at its max 1400rpm. The cleaning is excellent and basically everything is done on a short wash 62 min. It gets used most days and so far the only blemish has been a hairgrip blocking the draining pump. This did require a nice man to come out and fix it to the tune of £30. However I watched him do it and it was very easy and I have had to do it once since to remove a 5p coin.
