Hotpoint Aquarius WD420 ... my goodness! I have honestly never experienced such an unreliable machine! I bought my WD420 brand new, and had to call out an engineer within the first three weeks! Six weeks later, three more call outs, three new control panels, as it seems whatever goes wrong with the machine burns out the electrics, my machine was replaced. The handbook/instructions that you receive with the machine are incredibly vague, not even listing the most basic/common of fault codes. The main problem with this machine is that it has no external filter, so if it gets clogged, as it often does, as it seems incapable of washing dirty clothes or woollens, so it begins flashing lights, refusin... Indesit WIXL163 ... love this washing machine...its so quiet compared to my last washing machine.i specifically chose this washing machine because of its energy efficiency rating which is very good compared with the others that i looked at.i particularly like the fact that there is a light indicator showing me how far through the wash programme it is, although the only thing i would like to be different about it is the time it takes for 1 load to go through!you can set it for a quicker wash but the temperatures are limited for the quick wash settings. but i am able to put my curtains through the wash now, which i was never able to do before, because there is even a setting specifically mad... Indesit WIXXL146 ... in a small terraced house in York with no garden, I do not have much room for drying bigger items like sheets and towels, so decided to opt for a washer/dryer. I have always though Indesit was quite a good brand name, and haven t had any problems with any of their appliances before. The machine has a good programme list, looks smart, and is of a decent size. It s pretty easy to use, with three dials rather than the multitude of buttons and digital screens that some of them seem to have at the moment. However, since using it, I have been left very unimpressed. It has a reasonable drum size, but when you get even close to filling it, the clothes in the middle do...
