LG i s a well known brand for alot of electrical items, so already knew this would be a high quality item. I have had this item for around two years now so can see the pros and the cons. The pros? Good looking machine firstly, very easy to clean with a good capacity for clothes which is 8kg. Quite a standard size overall so didnt feel it ... was massive in the kicthen and slotted away very easily. The funtions/settings/buttons are very easy to use.Plenty of different wash options etc. half load,hand wash, intensive, pre wash soak and so much more. To be honest, many of these settings I havent even used, but great that theyre there. The time it takes for a load to finish obviosuly depends on which setting, temperature etc you have put it on, but to be fair I can put a wash on when the kids are having breakfast before school and by the time I'm back from school run washing is complete.
The Cons? I know this machine is supposed to be very quiet, and to be fair its alot more quiet than my last machine, but I still think its alittle loud, i excepted something with less noise. Also, just over a year after buying and using the machine, the bit you push in on the door handle to pen the door broke off. The door can still open, but would have thought this would have been able to be much long lasting, consdering you use the machine alot, your going to open the door alot!
Overall a machine that didnt cost the earth as I got it in sale and got further discount from the retailer, large capacity so perfect for those with those who have families or need to do alot of washing, but more importantly they was clothes very well and quickly.

Stop the world! I've become a grown up! At 23 years old, I am now the proud owner of a Proaction A105Q washing machine!
Why did I choose this washer?
I'm going to be honest, money is tight. I've got a flat to pay for, car to pay for, kitten and partner to spoil... So when I was looking for a washing machine I had ... two priorities: 1 - it washes my clothes and 2 - it's cheap. So, thanks to Argos, I picked out this Proaction model for a snipping price of £150 - plus my friend's work discount, which brought it to just over £140! Bargain, I think!
Getting it home was certainly interesting - it took three of us to drag it up the flight of stairs to my kitchen, and two of us to plumb it in and shove it in to it's home - hey, it's heavy! - but now that it's in, it works like a dream. Hooray!
The technical bit...
The washing machine is cold water fill - which I have learnt means it only needs plumbing to the cold water supply (see, I told you I was an adult now!), and comes with child lock, so it's nice and safe.
With a 5kg capacity, the machine is rated energy efficiency class A+, with a spinning performance rating C and washing performance rating A.
The dimensions of the machine are H84.5, W60, D50cm.
How easy is it to use?
The Proaction washing machine is very easy to use. With fifteen different wash programme choices, including a 30 min quick wash cycle, you simply bung your washing in the drum, close the door, pop your powder in the drawer, turn the dial to your chosen setting and press start. A red indicator light shows when the cycle is finished. Nice and easy.
Does it run well?
The washing machine hasn't caused me any problems so far with regards to running. My clothes go in dirty and come out clean, and not too damp, so that I can hang them on my maiden and they are dry nice and easily. It isn't particularly noisy whilst it is running, even when the final spin is on - although is can shake my pans off the kitchen counter if I don't put enough clothes in to start.
It uses all of the powder and softener I put in to the drawer, without leaving soggy, sticky residue behind, and from the past three months I have used it, it has remained clean and a good runner.
The cycles don't go on forever, which I found with my washing machine at my old rented place - on average, the cycles probably last an hour and a half maximum, which suits me just fine.
Was it a good choice?
For a first time washing machine buyer, I can't really compare whether this buy was better than a more expensive buy - I'm sure a top of the range washer would provide more cycle options, and a faster cycle etc, but for me, this isn't necessary. For a basic washing machine that does it's primary job of cleaning my clothes, it works well. 5kg is more than enough capacity for little old me and the occasional weekend wear from my partner when he visits, and therefore it's the perfect little buy.
It's a neat looking machine, compact enough to fit into my kitchen no problem, and easy to keep looking shiny and clean - just what I wanted. And for the rate I use it, I have no doubt it could last a fair while too!
Overall rating = 4/5 - one point removed for the fact it may not appeal to some more experienced washing machine buyers, or larger families.
