Beko WM5100 ... washing machine died about a month ago and with four adults in the house, two of which were getting ready to back to University I needed a washing machine quickly. Now I m not one of those people that believes that the more expensive the better and neither to I feel that the washing machine needs to sing and dance around the kitchen ............... I wanted a basic washing machine that would take a reasonable size load, had a 30 minute cycle (as lets face it most clothes only need freshening up), but could also do a hot hot wash for towels . Servis M6003W ... was surprised how good this product was. Money was tight, and we didn t have much of a choice, so we bought what we could afford. I think we paid about £300 for this 1300rpm machine. Now we ve had this for over 3 years now, and although it doesn t have a lot of features that other expensive machines have, it still is quite good. You get all the basic features you d expect - temperature, drip dry, delicate, half load, pre-wash I wouldn t even want any more features. The clothes come out reasonably dry, it has never failed (bite my tongue!) yet. We go through 3 washes a day, and it s worked fine all the time. Indesit Moon SIXL145S ... be only me! I have had my moon for just over two years when we moved to a new house and replaced all our existing appliances with new funky and greener ones. However I find i mostly need to wash on 40 degree cycle and my whites are not what they used to be! I have had the rubber door seal changed once already due to black mould which has already accumulated again on the new seal. I never shut the door when not in use, allowing air to freely circulate! The indesit engineer stated this was due to using liquids rather than powder detergents? If I use powder on anything but a white wash, small specks of powder are always evident on completion.
