Ariston A1636 1600 Spin ... have this machine and cannot fault it. It was fairly pricey at the time but i thought Ariston- good name lets get it. I got it just as i had a new born baby and put it through its paces. It was on twice a day for many weeks due to the amount of disgusting things babies tend to do. It was so quiet that you could not hear that it was on. It has got louder over time but still quiet for a washing machine. Its great for putting a big wash on as it has a large drum and i love it for the 30min wash it does on 30degrees. I tend to put my husbands work clothes on at that temperature and feel that that is enough. The only thing that i do not like and this may not bother everyone... Ariston A 1234UK ... have had this washer for over 6 years now and I will be the first to admit that it has stood the test of time. It has had some right hammer and hasn t failed once. There are loads of programmes and different settings. There is a quick wash that lasts for around 30 minutes which I use for a lot of our washing as it mostly needs freshening up rather than needing a full wash as its not that mucky etc. It also features different speeds for the spins ranging from no spin to 1200 spin. Also different temperature settings. It is also very economical and only uses the amount of water it needs so if you only have a small amount in the machine it won t use a lot of water. ... Ariston A1637 ... suddenly died on us without warning, a replacement was sought without delay. My research as far as choosing a new machine was unscientific - I drove to our nearest Curry s and asked them to show me what they had in stock that I could take away there and then. I had a few to choose from and after deliberating for all of five minutes on the comparative features and prices, I ended up with the Ariston A1637 in the boot of the Passat. Installing it was easy as the plumbing was all there from the previous machine. It was simply a matter of connecting the cold water feed, routing the waste water pipe, plug it in and away you go.
