I've owned this washing machine for 2 years and actually own it in the silver. From memory I believe it cost me around £250.00 which I thought was really reasonable at the time ... however the silver one is a bit more expensive than the white one but only by £10.00.
In the 2 years I've owned it, there was only one time when it stopped working mid wash and that's because something had got caught in the pipe. However we took the front of the machine off to empty the water out and soon found the culprit and off it went again. I would like to point out that it wasn't as easy as I have just written though as we did need to pull the machine out and then try and get a washing up bowl under it as the plug in the front is quite low down so you couldn't get a bucket under it to catch any water...needless to say my kitchen floor got an unscheduled clean that day!
As for ease of use, it has a chart on the machine which breaks down into cottons etc and has a number next to it. This then corresponds with the dial on the right hand side which you have to turn to the relevant number... all very easy and the fact you have the actual chart on the machine so you never forget is also a good idea!
It has the usual drawer with the 3 compartments in it, but I'm a liquitab girl so these go straight into the machine so I don't tend to use the compartments that often...
As for plumbing, it runs off the cold tap only and comes with a nice long pipe for you to connect...
My only gripe is that the door does seem to store alot of water in it, more so than my last machine so I keep an old towel to mop it up to stop it eating away at the rubber.
It's a very simple no nononsense washing machine... it doesn't have all the whistles and bells that some machines have...but then it has less to go wrong with it doesn't it?!?!
